| Asistnt. Regional Manager ![]() ![]() ![]() | Michael & Holly Or Molly, as I coin it. ![]() ![]() These two are obvious a good combination, but the relationship is doomed by Michael's child-like way of thinking and being. Already in 2 episodes and Holly, to me, is somewhat getting put-off by him. I do miss that excitement that Michael had when he first met her. Complete opposites, she's professional and he's ... not. She gets his humor, but she draws the line when it comes to work, and Michael has no line unless when emotions get in the way and out of the goodness of his heart, tries to do the right thing, i.e. The food baskets in season 4 in attempt to win ex-clients back. I did like when Michael stood up for Holly when she wanted to finish the seminar and the staff were beginning to rebel. But Michael will remain clueless to how close he can get to her, seeing how next week is the baby shower. Thoughts? |

| Mu nótahu ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think Michael's insecurities are perfectly portrayed and it's really helped smooth his character especially when you consider the direction they were heading after the first season where he was just a copycat of the british version. Many men can propably identify with his position, remember that episode where Michael was a kid and was talking about how when he grew up he wanted to have hundreds of friends and blah, blah, blah. Michael's greatest insecurity is probably loneliness and being accomplished. He's being with 4 women so far, all of them radically different from each other. But more so than the relation with Holly the biggest thing I took from the episode was his loyalty for his co-workers(sabotaging another brand to get Stanley to stay, flying with Dwight to Wallace's house to not close his own branch). For better or worse Michael has always cared about his employees and it actually struck me that he would "defend" a charecter he's really never cared for in the past(Meredith).
