Soo if you guys have any spoilers related to the show, please post them in this thread *********** So who do you guys think is the other Vamp in town. The one who turned Logan. And Tyler is sooo gonna be a werewolf. The way they lingered on the moon after he left. And who did Elena ran over? *********** Will the November 19 Vampire Diaries cliffhanger “keep fans a little bit crazy in the head during” the show’s winter break? That’s what coexecutive producer Julie Plec tells TV Guide Magazine she hopes for the shocking ep that featured Elena (Nina Dobrev) finding Katherine’s photo after spending the night with Stefan (Paul Wesley). She takes off, crashes her car and is trapped as a shadowy figures approaches. Will she survive? Plec also gives us a peek of what to expect when the show returns in January. SPOILER ALERT! What’s happening when Diaries opens its pages again in January? Our first episode back is a very Damon and Elena-centric story. The two of them go off on a little adventure and bond in a way she didn’t think they were capable of. Having left her necklace behind with the vervaine, the question is: is Damon taking Elena along of her own free will or is he controlling her to enjoy the experience. Also, Gina Torres (Firefly, 24) guest stars as a witch that Damon goes to visit. Sounds like you’re building toward a romantic triangle? Yes. The interesting thing about the Damon/Stefan/Elena triangle is that Damon’s heart belongs to Katherine forever and always. But as we go through the rest of the season, he’s going to get to know Elena better and better. And can Elena and Stefan’s relationship survive her learning the truth about Katherine? Damon never lied to her and didn’t’ have sex with her. At least not yet. How about the mystery vampire? Who he is and what he wants is our next big step. We’ll also learn whether the tomb can be happened and what would happen if he does. What’s going to happen with newbie witch Bonnie?(Katerina Graham) Just as she’s having the very human experience of coming of age, she has to deal with the fact that she is a witch. She tries to run away from it at first, but she’s going to embrace it and let it control her so she can learn how to control it. She’s going to be very powerful. Since, as you all say, Vicki is really really dead, will there be any more major demises? Kevin Williamson likes to say that nobody’s safe. If we couldn’t kill people, we wouldn’t be a vampire show. Will there be any girls who get turned and have time to savor their vampire-ness longer than poor Vicki? Anyone who’s read the books knows the answer to that question. So Elena will become a vampire? Yes, but that’s certainly not in the cards [for the show] any time soon. As the series gets older and deeper, there is room for a female vampire who’s turned, who doesn’t necessarily have to be a psychotic crazy person. What’s next for the two characters most affected by Vicki’s death, Matt (Zach Roerig) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen)? So far they’re led to believe that she’s just gone and screwed up. Eventually the truth about what really happened to her will come out and rock everybody’s world. It’s going to change a lot of relationships. In the meantime, we’ll be digging into where do Matt and Caroline (Candice Accola), these two unlikely partners, go in their relationship. Jeremy has a new friend/father figure in the form of the new history teacher Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis). We’re not really sure what he’s doing in Mystic Falls and what his game is. He’s got a surprising backstory. And finally, we still have to discover who turned Logan Fell (Chris J. Johnson) into a vampire. Source: TV Guide Magazine ******** Meet Vampire Diaries' New Slayer Matthew Davis arrived on the Atlanta set of The Vampire Diaries just two days after getting the gig, leaving him no time to read the books; so playing Alaric Saltzman, an enigmatic new teacher, wasn't that tough. Right off the bat, Alaric takes a shine to both Jeremy and his aunt, but it will be a while before his true passion is revealed. (Hint: Alaric has something in common with Buffy.) Davis tells TVGuide.com what Alaric is researching in Mystic Falls, when he'll interact with Stefan and Damon and why he hopes never to be called to the special-effects office. TVGuide.com: Are you a vampire person generally? Matthew Davis: I'm huge into genres of all sorts, especially the darker elements. TVGuide.com: What did they tell you about Alaric going in? Davis: I hopped on that plane not knowing what I was getting myself into. Alaric definitely has a past, and he's there to add a heightened sense of tension to the story line. TVGuide.com: Is Alaric a good guy or a bad guy? Davis: It's not so clearly defined. He has a dark side, and I think he's not always going to do the right thing. How that compels him remains to be seen. TVGuide.com: Tell me about Alaric's secret research. Davis: It's of the paranormal persuasion. I'm here to play the teacher; the hobbies of my research are pretty much kept secret at this point. TVGuide.com: Will he be allied with the vampire-hunting grown-ups in any way? Davis: I don't think so; I think he's more of a loner. TVGuide.com: Does Alaric know that Stefan and Damon are vampires? Davis: No. TVGuide.com: How does Alaric's arrival affect Jeremy? Davis: I think that Alaric sees him as the troubled teen that he is. Because of Alaric's own history and background, he reaches out and gives Jeremy the opportunity to redeem himself. Alaric clears the decks, in an academic sense, and provides a stable, understanding presence in his life. Jeremy begins to respect Alaric. TVGuide.com: That is, until Alaric hooks up with Jeremy's aunt, Jenna. Davis: They're definitely setting up that possibility at this point. There's a scene where [Alaric and Jenna are] introduced, and there's chemistry. TVGuide.com: How long will he be sticking around? Davis: Right now, I don't really know. The joke on the set is that getting called down to the effects department to be fitted for a body mold is the kiss of death. They have to fit you for prosthetics so you can be staked in the heart or something. TVGuide.com: Is he supernatural in any way himself? Davis: Only in his own mind. The Vampire Diaries is on Thursdays at 9/8c on the CW. Source: TV Guide Magazine |

Can Matt Davis do a good Harrison Ford? How about a good Dexter Morgan? We're about to find out on Vampire Diaries, because sources tell me there's much more to the casting news that just broke about Mia Kirshner (24, The L Word) joining the cast for a recurring role. While it's true she's playing Isobel, the wife of Matt Davis' ridiculously named schoolteacher character Alaric, she might already not be of this world... According to my sources, Kirshner will appear on the series beginning Jan. 21, but her scenes won't be in present-day. They will be in flashbacks because her character Isobel is already dead. And you'll never guess who killed her. No really, go ahead, try! Though my sources have asked me not to spoil the big twist outright, suffice it to say that Isobel died at the hands of a main (hot) character we already know. (Did I mention hot?) You can bet that Alaric is in town for some sort of sweet revenge. And as long as Tommy Lee Jones is not on his case, he should be A-OK! (Or something.) The good news in all this is that Aunt Jenna still stands a chance at love with the sexy schoolteacher (Davis). Assuming he's not, you know, evil himself. Oh, and interesting note: Mia and Paul Wesley (he was still Paul Wasilewski then) played siblings on CBS's Wolf Lake. Anybody remember that show? Anybody? Bueller? What do you think of Mia Kirshner coming onboard? And who is her killer twist? Comment below... http://uk.eonline.com/uberblog/watch...rss_topstories |

Executive producer Kevin Williamson tells me that Matt’s trashtastic mother, Kelly, will blow into Mystic Falls and waste no time digging her cougar claws into Ian Somerhalder’s Damon. “If I didn’t have Kelly and Damon hook up there would be no God,” declares Williamson with a laugh. “What’s the point of doing TV if you’re not going to put those two characters together? That’s going to be a fun relationship to explore.” Of course, Williamson points out that Kelly Donovan has more to offer than a reputation as a bad mom and a healthy appetite for vampire sex. Clarke’s character also shares a rich history with the town’s adult population. “We’ll reveal that she was friends with Sheriff [Elizabeth] and Elena’s mother, [Isobel],” he says. “The three of them were really tight friends back in the day. Sheriff and Kelly, in particular, have ongoing issues to deal with.” DVR alert: Clarke’s Vampire Diaries debut is slated for not soon enough March 25. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is starting to embrace a somewhat softer side, which is helping him form a bond with Elena (Nina Dobrev). Does Damon turning good mean Elena will run into his arms? Not quite, said Somerhalder, who explained to TVGuide.com that there's only one woman for Damon. As for Damon becoming a good guy, Somerhalder said: "I don't think it will go all the way to that place." "Damon only has fun," he said. "Damon is that way, smiling and joking, and there's something about him that makes Elena fun when she's around Damon. As crazy as she is and as much as she tries to hate him, he makes her smile sometimes. I think maybe she might start trusting Damon if he presents it to her that she can." Damon isn't always upbeat, though. Somerhalder teased an upcoming episode of the CW series (Thursdays at 8/7c) in which he's anguished. "I had to shoot a scene where Damon was not happy at all. ... and my whole day was shot because I was miserable. Normally I walk around set laughing and joking, pulling pranks on people and just screwing with everyone. [Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan] is always so intense, because he's got so much going on in his mind. I thought, whoa, that's heavy." Deep down, Damon yearns for Katherine. "That's his girl," he said. "That's all he wants. It's love. Look, I know it's so trite, but it is that old adage, 'Love conquers all.' It's what drives us in every way shape and form." "Damon misses his brother and his girl and he wants them both back in his life," he added. "He's waited 150 years to get his girl back. He finds her at some point fairly soon." Once Katherine does come back in the picture, though, Somerhalder says he's unsure if Damon will actually get the girl, "but I just know he wants her and he has an insatiable thirst to find her. He's not going to stop until that thirst is quenched." http://www.tvguide.com/News/Vampire-...r-1014271.aspx |
