| Over the past week there have been several different reports on how many episodes of OTH have been ordered. Today, we got the official word directly from the CW Programming Department. The CW has ordered 22 episodes with the option to reduce. Meaning if ratings are not good... the contract gives the option to cancel early or reduce the amount of episodes. But at this time OTH will have a full 22 episodes! Once again this is confirmed through the CW directly. This did NOT come from our OTH Insiders... we wanted to go directly to the source. Source: Onetreehillfans.com ------ The only bad part, is that if the ratings are low, it can be CANCELLED! :( |

The smell is so potent it's obvious that he is not just smoking regular cigarettes,” the source claims. “He doesn’t seem to see a need to hide it at all.” This may help Britney Spears in her campaign to win back custody of her sons. Federline has full custody right now, but Spears is seeking a 50/50 split arrangement. Meanwhile, Spears’ musical career is looking up. Her new album, Blackout, is set to be released this month. Spears’ single from the album, Gimme More, has already hit No. 1 on music charts. http://www.transworldnews.com/NewsSt...id=25437&cat=2 |

Subsequent episodes will take over the 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET timeslot beginning Tuesday, January 15, following an encore presentation of "Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants." "Reaper" will return to the schedule with original episodes later in the season. The fifth season of "One Tree Hill" will be unprecedented in the annals of television drama, as the show leaps forward four years. Season four ended as the young characters graduated high school and season five begins, post-college, four years later. Some of the characters have found success while others have failed. Some are the same, some are very different. And while their storylines will actively move forward, the show will also dip into the past, returning to incidents and events of the last four years, sometimes for a moment or a scene, other times for an entire episode. "One Tree Hill" was created by Mark Schwahn and is executive produced by Schwahn, Joe Davola, Greg Prange, Mike Tollin and Brian Robbins. "One Tree Hill" is a Tollin/Robbins Production in association with Warner Bros. Television. http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=20071119cw01 |

TV Bosses Reveal What's Next for Our Favorite ShowsONE TREE HILL Executive Producer Mark Schwahn Says: "Although we have six new episodes left, no one is more excited about the end of the strike than we are at One Tree Hill. With our four-year jump ahead, we're having an outstanding year creatively, and despite standing alone on Tuesdays, our numbers are routinely second only to Smallville for scripted dramas at the CW. We'd love the opportunity to continue season five, and if the WGA's new contract is ratified, hopefully we'll be able to do just that. If not, we'll see you for season six." What We're Hearing: The See-Dub has not yet decided if and when One Tree Hill will return. Time for a little fan love to remind them how much the viewers love this show! The network is hoping to get the fresh episodes of the dramas on the air by mid-to-late April. While network officials would not confirm this, Gossip Girl, which has been renewed for next season, is expected to begin airing new episodes for next season sometime in August, according to sources familiar with the situation. The CW is also planning to order eight or nine more episodes of its second-year sitcom, The Game, for this season, with new episodes to begin airing sometime in March. The CW will continue to air new episodes of its freshman sitcom Aliens in America, but will order no more for this season. The network already has 18 original episodes, many which have aired so far. CW executives have not made a decision as to whether the show will return next season. Two shows that will not be back are freshman drama Life is Wild, which is out of production, and long-running sitcom Girlfriends. The network had already planned to end Girlfriends following this season, and will not order any additional episodes. Network executives are planning to meet with the show's creators and producers to discuss a possible historical clipshow that would air as a finale to the series http://www.mediaweek.com/mw/news/rec..._id=1003709660 |

Yes, we will see all these shows in the fall for the 2008-09 season! Happy Snoopy dance with me, will ya? The episode orders for each of these series remains "TBD," but I can assure you that the cast of OTH is celebrating the pickup of its sixth season—most likely at Hilarie Burton's house—right now in Wilmington, North Carolina. I just ran into Sophia Bush at dinner in West Hollywood a few days ago and had a nice chat about how the show is really, as she put it, "in its groove" this season, and how she and the cast feel they have a good thing going and hope it continues. Word. Ask and ye shall receive. I also just checked in with Gossip boss Josh Schwartz, and he tells me, "Didn't know [the pickup] was happening today but I guess—when the show is Gossip Girl—reading it online is as good! Stephanie and I couldn't be happier or more grateful to the CW for all their support. We've had a blast working with this cast and crew, and shooting in NYC has been awesome. We're excited about what's to come in the next five episodes and season two." Josh's other new show, Chuck, is also expected back this fall, so he's just on a roll. Whee! And while Gossip Girl and Top Model seemed no-brainers for fall, Supernatural and Smallville fans are most assuredly breathing a huge sigh of relief at these pickups, since the fates of both series have been in limbo as of late. Super boss Eric Kripke knows he owes a great deal to you fans and your very vocal support efforts, especially in this here wacky world o' web. "Our online community is a rowdy and boisterous one," he says. "And we love them for it." So which series are you most excited about seeing the light of fall? Post your affections below! (And then say a little prayer for Aliens in America, will ya?) http://www.eonline.com/gossip/kristi...6-aeb5f8e9e5b6 |

The show will film its first four episodes of season six immediately after finishing up these six episodes of season five, so filming will go into late June.
