'One Tree Hill' Actress Talks About Season 5
As One Tree Hill heads into a new season, major changes are set to unfold since the teen drama will now focus on the lives of Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan (James Lafferty), and the rest of the gang after they graduate from college. It's going to be a long wait before fans can finally watch season 5 on January 2, 2008. Meanwhile, Hilarie Burton gives her sentiments on the upcoming season and the direction her character is heading.

While some remain doubtful of what the new season of One Tree Hill could offer, the 25-year-old actress remains confident of the flash forward retooling of the series.

“I think it's an awesome idea cause the thing, for me, over the course of our show [is that] all the bad guys have kind of been explained …you understand why they're bad guys and they're all good guys now …so to come back four years later we can all go back to being bad guys and then flash back to what made us bad guys. So it's really great that we get to do a practically a brand new show with characters that everybody cares about,” Burton told TV Guide.

Burton also reveals that a significant part of the show is the integration of flashbacks since the storylines are now dramatically set four years into the future.

“I think the big part of our flash forward is that we could reference stuff that's happened and go back…I think it's gonna be a really cool element of the show that we have four years to play with and do whatever we want,” she said.

Burton, who plays Payton Sawyer, a cheerleader with an affinity for art and music, hints that her character will be taking on a career in the music field.

“When we leave Payton, she's obviously in love with music. She wants to get in the music industry. So I think that's where we're gonna see her…working at a record label or running her own record label. I think she's gonna have something to do with that community which is great for me with my MTV back ground,” she said.

Though it is still unknown if season 5 will be the last for One Tree Hill, Burton looks forward to more years with the teen drama.

“I'm in it for the long haul if you guys want us to comeback. I'll be back every year. I don't wanna wrap anything up I just wanna keep going. We still have a lot of stories to tell and lots of things to explore especially with the opportunity to start with a clean slate,” she said.

“Our fans our great and what I really like about them is that they come up with their own explanations for everything. They're really analytical and really smart so they know what we're going towards in and they've figure it out.” she added.

N.C.-produced film coming to Greenville
Feature film "The List" has opened in five cities nationwide to date. Now, publicists have announced, it's Greenville's turn.

The cast includes Hollywood actors boasting resumes packed with both network television — think NBC's "Heroes" and the WB's "One Tree Hill" — and big-screen appearances in films like "Remember the Titans" and "Batman."

All things considered, this doesn't seem like a project slated to open in a city of less than 75,000 people, but North Carolinians are the target audience, said publicist Jonathan Stanley, another Boone native.

The movie was inspired by a Charlotte writer and was filmed in Wilmington, led by a director from Boone.

"It's easier to start close to home and build that grass-roots system," Stanley said.

The film already has opened in four other North Carolina locations: Charlotte, Concord Mills, Wilmington, and Hickory. The fifth was in Dalton, Ga.

Stanley describes The List as a "Southern film," and its author Robert Whitlow as someone writing "Christian John Grisham novels." He said they hope to show it everywhere in North Carolina, and will consider pitching the film in states outside the South further down the road.

"The List" tells the story of a young man, led by his father's last will and testament, discovering a secret society in Charleston, S.C.

The movie stars Malcolm McDowell, Chuck Carrington, Hilarie Burton and Will Patton.

It opens Oct. 26 at the Grande 14 cinema, 750 S.W. Greenville Blvd.

All right i kinda need some help from you all here on the forum.
I have sort of a Peyton situation.
You know in season 3 when Brooke and Haley moves in together?
well its the same thing for me, my two best friends have just moved in together so that makes me Peyton right ?
I just wanna know if anyone of you can figure out how Peyton deals with it cause i hate it and I can´t even be at there place.
So how can Petyon not care and still be best frinds with at least Brooke.
I mean Brooke and Haley becomes really good friends and that leaves Peyton hanging.
I just tries to see it from the good side, that I have a "one tree hill moment" or something but it is not working
So if anyone can just say what they think maybe I can get over it.

Peyton still hung out with Brooke at school and she still went over to Brooke and Haley's place and in the end they end being best friends together.

yeah but i dont go to the same school as either one of them and I can handle the thought of them beeing togehter all the time. And if you watch the 3 season you´ll see that Peyton is´nt that much at there place

I think that peyton got over it in her own time. At first she was mean and nasty to Haley but as time went on she got over it slowly in her own time. Its hard when friends move in together and you dont no where you stand.But if you keep your chin up and hope for the best you will come to understand and get over this in your own time.

yeah but peyton was angry at Haley cause she had left town and Nathan ,not because brooke and she was moving it together, you never even saw anything that pointed out that this botherd Peyton, how is that ?

Then i think you should talk to your friends and tell them how you feel about this,and try and come to an understanding of what you all can do to try and fix the issue or help you get over it.

been there done that. They doesn´t care. They just says"nothings gonna change"
But it will, and that´s sucks, but for Peyton and Hayle and Brooke it never changed, they almost got closer all the time.
