The 25-year-old One Tree Hill star reveals what tv show keeps her and her husband, musician Michael Galeotti, in harmony. Favorite TV spot? Probably the bedroom. I find that I watch less in there and enjoy what I do watch more. Favorite TV shows? Lost is definitely one of my favorites. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip just started, but I’m obsessed with that. I always download episodes of Monk and The Twilight Zone on iTunes. Favorite TV snack? I always seem to find myself with a cup of tea. Your TV crush? Even if I did have one, I don’t think I’d say it - I wouldn’t do that to my husband, the loving, wonderful man that he is! On One Tree Hill, Haley and Nathan were involved in a car crash. Is life going to get any better for them? Of course not. Then we wouldn’t have a show! I think our writers have gotten good at giving the audience a taste of what they want, and right when they get comfortable, snatching it away from them. On the show you play a musician. What about pursuing music off the screen as well? Right now I’m working on my first album. It’s an eclectic mix, similar to Patty Griffin, Bonnie Raitt and really dramatic Fiona Apple music. It’s called The Starter Kit. Hopefully it will be available next year. Favorite movie musical? I thought Chicago knocked it out of the park. I’ve heard that they are working on other movie musicals, but I think Chicago came as close as you can to modernizing a musical for today’s audience. I also like The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. Childhood show that you’d like to see come back? Seinfeld and Frasier make me feel so warm and friendly inside when I watch them. If those cast members decided to get back together and do another few seasons, I’d be a happy camper. Favorite shows you watch with your husband? Monk and Family Guy. We always make sure to have episodes of those shows stocked up so we can watch them together before bed. Is that the key to maintaining a happy marriage? It has been pretty great. We’ll be in the middle of a fight and all of the sudden say, “You know what, Family Guy is on, let’s sit and watch it.” And we always feel better afterward! When she was younger and living on her own in New York and Los Angeles, Galeotti lacked "deep" friendships and found solace by writing in journals. She began making friends, and the pace of her writing slowed. Galeotti had people to bounce things off of and vent to, and she realized what relationships were all about. "I still write every once in a while, but it's not nearly as much," Galeotti said. "It's not as cathartic as it used to be I think because I don't need it as much anymore." Galeotti, who plays Haley James Scott on "One Tree Hill," has completed filming the show's fifth season and is residing at home with her husband, Michael Galeotti, in Vancouver, Wash. Galeotti has been using her off-time to connect with friends and her husband's side of the family. "It's the chance that you get for a relationship and just getting to know them better and being able to be around your family and friends," Galeotti said. "It just feels like such a privilege to me 'cause I'm always away, so I'm just really soaking in as much as I can." "One Tree Hill" is filmed in Wilmington, N.C., where Galeotti joins her cast members who portray a close group of high school friends. The story line was advanced four years in the new season and shows the friends in the real world with real problems. The season starts with the group spread out across the country, but they reconnect when they return to the fictional town of Tree Hill, N.C. After the four-year jump, Galeotti's character is now a full-time teacher in charge of her own classroom. Haley is challenged by a student Quentin Fields (Robbie Jones), whose sole focus has been basketball, and sees little value in an education. "I feel like she's got an inner faith and just an inner hope, which is sort of what makes it so interesting to come back this season and have her be kind of really doubting everything that she's ever believed in and everything that she's held onto because she never thought her life would suck this much," Galeotti said. "One Tree Hill" gave Galeotti an outlet to perform her music with her talents intertwined with the storyline. Now older, her character helps a promising young singer, Mia Catalano (Kate Voegele), who can be self-conscious about her skill. Galeotti admits she isn't a big fan of performing on stage and in front of large crowds. "It's so vulnerable," Galeotti said. "It's not like you're doing musical theater, where you're singing someone else's words and it's already laid out for you, and you're following the path of a character. There's a pause in between songs and everyone's looking to you like, 'Entertain us, make us laugh, say something.'" Her husband, Michael Galeotti, is in a band, Enation, along with Jonathan Jackson, Richard Lee Jackson and Daniel Sweatt. "He's basically just opening himself up to the whole world of music," she said. "So he's just learning about everything right now, which is kind of fun, whereas I grew up being inundated with music and surrounded by it, mostly by my own doing." http://media.www.dailyemerald.com/me...-3209131.shtml |

I was afraid it was never going to happen. I love her hair I'm so happy that Haley is doing her music again. Hopefully some new songs will be released to, or an entire album. I do know that recorded a song together with Enation (the band where her husband is in) and it will be played on the season finale, so I can;t wait to hear that. EDIT: The song is called 'Feel This' and you can listen to it below Make sure you also download the song from ITunes to support Joy Last edited by Still Dirrty; 05-15-2008 at 04:24 PM.. |
