WB as well as UPN will cease operations in the fall. CBS and Warner Brothers Entertainment are going to take shows from both networks and form a new fifth TV network. It will be called CW and target an 18- to 34-year-old audience.
One Tree Hill's ratings have been falling and one critic put its odds of survival at four out of ten.
