This year has been one of highs and lows for "One Tree Hill" star SOPHIA BUSH. She married CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY, her co-star and supposedly the man of her dreams, and then separated from him five months later amid tabloid reports that he had cheated on her with PARIS HILTON when the two worked on 'The House of Wax.'

While Sophia may have been able to eliminate Chad from her personal life, it has not been quite so easy at work as the two play characters that are still involved in an on-screen relationship. But the 23-year-old, dark-haired beauty is taking it in stride. In the February issue of CosmoGirl!, Sophia talks candidly about what her life is like now.

"It's tricky at work, but the 'One Tree Hill' cast is great and everybody on the show has been really supportive since Chad and I split," she tells the magazine. "Nobody is taking sides and I don't want them to ... some days are more difficult than others. Just because something is going on in my personal life, I have to check my personal problems at the door. If anything, this is an exercise for my acting ability!"

It is with the help of her close girlfriends and her family that Sophia is able to maintain her balance, although she says she allows herself to cry when she needs to. Perhaps, the situation is put in perspective for her when she thinks about her college friend HOLLY, who was diagnosed with stage four lymphoma and almost died, during "One Tree Hill"'s second season on the air.

"It turned everyone's world upside down," she says. Since then, Holly has, thankfully, made a complete recovery. Still, it inspired Sophia and her friends to start a nonprofit for young people with cancer.

In addition to friends and family, the former Tournament of Roses Parade Queen has found solace in her work. In addition to "One Tree Hill," she has two new movies in the can: 'John Tucker Must Die' and 'Stay Alive.'

"This breakup hasn't been easy," she tells CosmoGirl! "But I still believe in love. I want to get married again and have kids and even adopt."
