Season 1 Finale

What did everyone think of it.

I thought the ending fight could have been a little better. Say all the hero's gang up on him, he was kind of too easy to beat. They did bring them all to the same area in NY.

Though I did like how they set up next season.

It was good, but not as big as I was expecting. Sylar seemed like he was out of it. I mean, Hiro showed up, stood there for a couple seconds, then ran up to Sylar and stabbed him. Meanwhile if that were to happen in a previous episode he'd probably just destroy the sword before Hiro could do anything.

I did like how things kind of worked out for Nikki, though. I mean, regarding her powers and split personality. She's in control now of both, and she got to help out in fighting Sylar.

I can't wait for season 2. I liked that set up. I still don't really get the whole thing with the eclipse, though.

I totally agree... And the fact that he could stop Matt's bullets and not hiro.
probably just an excuse to kill him. When he lifted his finger to swing hiro away after he got stabbed... i thought he came back to life. I hope he just dies...

I thought it would be better. There were some faults in this episode. Like when DL was on the floor, wasnt he unconcious? And then he was able to stand up and keep concious for so long after the explosion.

oh but yay for molly and micah!! ahha

Yeah, I thought DL had died already. Then we don't even see what happens to him at the end. But I guess we can assume the paramedics took him since they took Matt. I hope Matt's not really dead, though. I liked him.

Remember, in Five Years Later episode, Sylar has DL's powers, so they probably meet up again and Sylar kills him. He also has Candice's power.

One thing I like about this show is that it's not about the what that happens, it's the how. Everything that Isaac painted has come true in one way or another.

Can't wait for Hiro to fight that dinosaur

Hm, I forgot about that Five Years Later stuff. Peter could still be alive because he has the healing powers, but then the time the bomb goes off will be different.

But that future is changed. It doesnt mean it still has to happen now. The five years stuff was only meaningful before the final episode, its what could have happened but didnt. Now its meaningless.

I thought it was kind of too easy how Silar was defeated. Kind of a let down if you look at how they have been building him up.

The Five Years Gone events could still happen. Sylar has nuclear powers, and he's presumably alive. He may team up with whoever Molly says is "even worse than the Boogeyman." I'm thinking it'll be one of the original people with powers who worked with Mrs. Petrelli, Charles, Hiro's Dad, and Linderman. Maybe Mr. Petrelli isn't so dead? He may still want the destruction of New York to happen and use Sylar to do it.

It'll be interesting to see where they take Chapter 2. I bet Kensei is really Hiro's dad, and his power is actually immortality or something. They've hinted at it quite a bit.

I hope they have the Peter/Sylar battle that everyone's been waiting for. It should take up the entire act and include all the powers they have.

Sylar has taken a LOT of punishment and come back from it. Remember when he escaped the lab? He fooled the doctors into thinking he was dead. There's no reason why he couldn't have done it again. Plus, he seems to have the ability to "hide in plain sight," as Peter put it.

Besides, Heroes is a comic book made into a TV show. No one stays dead in comics except Gwen Stacy.

I think Peter is alive. The nuclear powers don't destroy Peter's body just like they never destroyed Ted's body when he went nuclear at the Bennet's house. He just radiates so much energy that it causes the nuclear blast. I bet Nathan just flew him up high enough and dropped him, then flew to safety, while Peter regenerated after landing on the ground.

I think the whole reason Peter needed Claire's powers wasn't to survive the explosion, but to survive his fight with Sylar. The reason Sylar wanted Claire's powers was to make him invincible. He wouldn't have needed them to survive being the bomb, either, but he would if he wanted to be sure to survive his fight with Peter or Hiro's attack.

Exactly. At the end of the ep there is a sewer manhole cover partially off and a trail of blood to it.

I kind of wondered why Peter didn't just fly himself up into space out of harms way of NYC. I guess sinces Ted's power was overwhelming him he couldn't control his other powers enough to do that.

I'm still trying to figure out what is probably the most reasonable explanation as to why Sylar was able to be plainly stabbed by Hiro, when every encounter in the past had Sylar being significantly stronger than both Peter and Hiro.

I'm sure there are a dozen things you could nit pick about the showdown with Sylar, but its still a fantastic show.

ive only just started to watch hereos this week, i managed to watch the complete season in 3 days, its an awsome show.

i was really disapointed in the ending with syler with the character supposed to be the one with all the super power, but he will be back.. peter cant be dead can he:(
