I blame his daughter for most of the first very bad day.

Well, she was kidnapped about 490 times. What I did like about Day 1 was that Jack hadn't yet become the mythic badass he is now. They showed glimpses of it throughout the day, and only really showed it when he attacked the Drazens after Nina told him that Kim was dead.

It also set the bar for all 24 endings, and it's still probably the best and most important one.

Yeah, the ending of Day 1 is still my favorite. I don't think they could ever top it. I like how they portrayed Sherry Palmer as caring wife/mother in the beginning and by the end of the day everyone knew she was the most evil wicked bi+ch you wanted to see dead.
