Just this one *************** CBS have given the vampire series "Moonlight" a vote of confidence. Actor Jason Dohring has said that renewal of the series is looking positive. However there has been no official word from the network on the fate of the series after the writers strike ends but that hasn't stopped the shows stars from considering what directions the series could take. "I think there are too many procedural elements in the show," said Shannyn Sossamon, who plays Coraline, the 300-year-old ex-wife of Alex O'Loughlin's Mick St. John. "I don't think any of the audience members are sitting at home going, 'Gosh, I wonder what case Mick St. John's going to have this week? I'm so curious.' No, you care about the other stuff." Initially when the series premiered, it looked as though "Moonlight" was gearing up to be a vampire series similar to that of the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" spinoff, "Angel." Since then, however, the series has started to tell a variety of different stories that the show originally intended to tell. Sossamon believes the series should revisit the past of several characters and tell a few period stories ' something that "Angel" was no stranger to. Sossamon said she would like to see writers "kind of go back into different time periods more. Go back into the history. I love the drama of the vampire world. I love the aesthetic of it, and so to be more [of] that than the procedural element of the show." CBS has yet to announce what shows are being picked up for an additional season, the truth about her surprise rejuvenation will be revealed before the show finishes its run next year. "Moonlight" returns with its two remaining episodes on Jan. 4. **** I myself don't really care for the backstories. Especially not one that contains Coraline. Maybe one for Josef would be cool. But I would not like it if they dedicated an entire episode to backstories. |

I really hope they win. On another note MickBeth won the TV Guide poll for the couple that makes your heart pitter-patter the most. They beat out couples like Meridith & Derek, Brennan & Booth, Clark & Lois etc. |

The part I loved most about this episode was the fact that Mick finally really admitted his his feelings for Beth to himself. Now all he has to do is tell her. UGh, I hate that annoying strike. I want more Moonlight eppies! Last edited by Still Dirrty; 01-16-2008 at 07:08 AM.. |

| Newbie | I can't believe there is only one more episode this Friday. I'm still reeling over Love Lasts Forever. What a fantastic episode and I do believe it's my favorite episode. I need to have a marathon of all the episodes after this 12th one. Of course, there will be reruns throughout the spring/summer, plus the Moonlight Convention over Memorial Day weekend. I'm going to need all of that to help me keep my sanity. LOL ![]() |

I'm certain she playing with Mick again. I can't believe that was the last Moonlight episode that was made. It's all so open ended. I really hope the writers strike gets resolved soon, so that we can get some more episodes this season and don't have to wait till September. I'm gonna have some serious Moonlight withdrawals. |

It's an amazing show! Do they have intention to give to us more episodes? Do you know if they already decided for the next year? Do you have any news? Thanks for being so kind to us. Don't know to your first Q, don't know to your second Q and yes to your third Q. I just heard from inside sources at the Paley Center for Media that they have planned a special Moonlight event for Apr. 22. Whee! I promise I'll totally be there to bring you all the Alex O'Loughlin goodness you all long for! http://www.eonline.com/gossip/kristi...sid=fd-kristin I always love to see clips of that, so I can't wait. Hopefully Sophia, Alex and Jason will attend. Don't really care for Shannon |
