Default "Spider-Man" (1994 Cartoon)

I was just re watching some eps of the spiderman cartoon from like 1994.

Why does Spiderman need to insert web pelets to make webs? I thought spiderman's web are natural cuz he got bit by that spider.

The organic web shooters were only in the movie. In the comics, and the cartoon, Peter invented the web shooters and webbing.

Then again, Peter was a lot smarter in the comics than he was in the movies.

No kidding.

I wish they would release spiderman/xmen cartoons on dvd. They were one of the last great cartoons before everything went into anime style :/

X-MEN was freaking sweet. You actually had to pay attention to know what was going on sometimes. They'd reference old episodes a lot.

Plus, some of the material in there wasn't meant for younger kids. I'm surprised they were so accurate with characterizing Sabretooth. Dude was more hardcore in the cartoon than he was in the movie. That, and they really used the prejudice theme a lot.

BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES was just as good, IMO. They really got the psychology of Batman/Bruce Wayne down, even better than Batman Begins. He's a lot more obsessive and domineering, even alienating Robin and Alfred at times.

SPIDER-MAN, as good as it was, sometimes tried to put in too many supervillains every week, and didn't use some of them as much as they should have, while overusing others. Venom being the former, Morbius being the latter. Plus, they downgraded Spidey's powers a lot.
