Who will fill his shoes? At this writing, CBS has not named Barker’s Price Is Right successor, but speculation ranged from weatherman Dave Price of The Early Show… to George Hamilton.I’d been speculating it would be someone awful like Ryan Seacrest, but these choices may actually be worse. It’s sad to see Family Feud devolving to the point that the Tool Time guy is at the controls. I would hate to see The Price Is Right suffer the same fate. They should talk to the Monday Night Football guy who teamed John Madden with Al Michaels. (Unless he’s the same guy responsible for Dennis Miller.) Or they should talk to me because I have the best possible Price Is Right host imaginable. Someone smart enough to make you believe he knows the price of a Ford Focus, and personable enough to not make you pine for Bob Barker. Someone lascivious enough to flirt with college girls, but charming enough to make you love him for it. Someone to bring his unparallelled stature in the country, and the world, to Plinko. I’m referring, of course, to Bill Clinton. Clinton would be a different enough host that you wouldn’t think he was imitating Bob Barker, and familiar enough that there would be no need for warm-up time. He’d be fun and funny, and when a middle-aged woman would just barely miss winning a big prize, he would feel it, and he would make you feel it. He would make you laugh, and he might make you cry. World leaders would go on the Showcase Showdown. Hillary would sweep to presidential victory, and the Democrats would win a fillibuster-proof majority. Bill Clinton really would be the best Price Is Right host of the future. Either him or Chuck Woolery. Oh BTW I really liked when Happy Gilmore beat the Crap out of Bob Barker Last edited by Plastic Flute : 05-20-2007 at 11:21 PM. |
