New TV Station

There is a new broadcast Station for US TV. A while ago people asked what would replace the UPN or WB station, this is probably it. Its called MNT, My Network TV and it came out of nowhere with, I guess no advetising. It already launched Monday night. It only has 2 shows, they run 5 and 6 days a week, on at 8 and one at 9. Its a Fox owned station.

I saw that, I don't know why it was needed, but we'll see what it brings.

There is a link I posted to the stations home page that tells you about them, one is called Desire, the other Fashion House. They both look like primetime drama/soap operas. I guess they will have to add other things soon.

Becuase when the CW starts most people will have a double or triple up station.

yep its some soap operas. where i live there was no official upn station so the local fox network would broadcast the upn shows right after the fox lineup. so on friday's they would show 24 or whatever show/movie they would have on that night at 8pm central time and at 9 they would show wwe smackdown, which i would watch. but these shows already premiered and they air like 6 times a week. because of this smackdown is now gone and i'm going to have to wait another two weeks or so to see it again, once the CW premieres. these soaps are just horrible.

Ya our FOX L.A. promoted the living hell out of this. Everytiem you turn around they were showing a comemrcial, showing clips on the 10pm news and good day l.a. I grew not detest anything with this "my network" shi*.

And these soaps are so low budget it isnt even funny. **** mynetwork tv, seriously ive grown to hate it due to fox promoting it to death here.

Not in my market, I don't get UPN WB or F*x locally.

But I see what you mean, I just hope they get some decent programming for it.

im not one for soaps. and thats it? just those 2? and nothing else or other shows but reruns and stuff from other networks?

^so far that all I see, has some smallville and super natural reruns, a whole bunch of day time junk and rerun sit-coms, and at night 30 min infomercials.

They might get more stuff soon, especialy since at least one of those soaps, Desire, is junk..

I heard about this a few months ago. How it pretty much came about was With WB and UPN merging into CW, that left most markets with a station that had no network affiliation. So, they came up with this.
