| Sweet ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sorry if this post doesn't make much sense. But do you know how the UPN and the WB channels are merging. What is going to happen to the channel that's left over. For me the WB is on channel 11 and UPN is channel 9. So is one of those channels going to be replaced by a completely new network? If so, they should put the N on. Because I think it's only available for satelite and digital cable users. |

Your channel 11 will become the CW. Your channel 9 will ether play the exact same things as your channel 11, get some local programming, or pick up some syndicated shows. Anyway the only thing that should change is the primetime schedule, the shows between 8-10PM. There are currently no new production shows to replace what was on UPN. That left over station will be a CBS affiliate. With me my Channel 4 is UPN and Channel 14 and 15 are both WB, the only difference between the WB's are the local news and daytime TV, channel 14 is from Miami, channel 15 is from Palm Beach. The N, Nick, Nick2, Nick Gas, Nick Teen, and Noggin are all Nickelodeon. Quote:
A new national station may take the place of UPN but that will take a while and only a big company can do it. The company that owns The N is Viacom, there big enough to do it but it would take some time. If it is done it will probably be a new station taking its place, not one that already exists. Broadcast sations operate very different from cable stations, and they also get a lot more views. CBS primetime gets 20 million views, the N gets a few thousand.
