| Wow, what a BRILLIANT episode! This show has proven time and again to have the biggest balls of any show on network TV. First, you've got the hotel situation. With many of the guests infected and symptomatic, with no chance of recovery, they're giving them the option of MASS SUICIDE. The scenes with Michelle telling the guests the cold, hard facts about the virus and their only other option was really well done, as was the part where she told the manager he couldn't call his wife. Second, we have Jack ordered by the president to kill Chappelle by 7:00 AM. I loved how this used the show's gimmick to its fullest, working against the clock. The scenes with Chase and the strike team moving against Saunders were really good, and raised the tension of the show like crazy. Especially when they were set against Chappelle and Jack waiting for news in the helicopter. When they found the computer (or whatever it was), it was like a punch in the gut. I also liked Jack's agonizing over what he had to do, and the way Chappelle reacted to his fate. He was terrified, but knew that it had to happen or millions could die. It made me like the guy and feel sorry for him. Too bad it happened after 2 seasons of him being a prick. My only complaint about the show is that it's uneven when it comes to sentiment. They're not too good at having characters talk about their feelings, which is understandable considering the work they do, but then they can show scenes of real power, like when the old couple were teh first people to step forward to take the suicide pills. Overall, great episode. My grade: A |

| I have never felt so attached to an emotional scene as the scene with Jack and Chapelle. It saddened me beyond anything I have ever watched before. Think about it Lemmi if the characters fell into a sentimental speech everytime something like that happens it would become really sappy and less emotional. But if they dont use it as much (sentimental speeches) then they can use it when they really need to. I'm glad there short with words and get right to the point. One of the best ep. I have ever seen. |

This episode really showed that even hard asses can break down and show a vulnerable side. I think what made this ep. even better was the silent tick of the clock. It didnt break your focus with the *beep*, *beep*, *beep*. | |
