Lana Lang ...truth

I was watching Superman 3 (1983) and as we know Annette O'Toole plays Lana Lang.
In the movie she still never finds out that Clark is Superman or has special powers.
Does this mean then that in Smallville Kristen's character will never find out either?
If so then why do they keep on dragging out the plotline about him keeping secrets from her?

movie is much different from the show...I mean Superman doesn't know about Kriptonite I think. Metropolis is in New York, so the show will take it own corse and doesn't relate to any moive or past shows

They say they don't know if she is going to find out about his abilitys. But the show will end when he goes to metroploils. IN the comics it says Lana ends up with Pete. Maybe?

I read a while ago the unoffical plan was all the main characters would all go to college or be in the same city. I hope Lana eventually does find out about his secret before the show is over cause Pete knows.

I think itd be messed up for Pete to end up with Lana because Pete knew about Clark being an alien and it's the only reason why he's not with her. At the end of the movie (1983) Lana works at the planet, so the moive and show will be totally different

For me LANA IN SmallVILLE IS THE BEST

Hopefully she doesn't. It would be boring if she did. The secret keeps them apart and creates the tention they have. Besides i would much rather he tell Chloe than Lana.

I thought it was LOIS Lane that worked at the planet. And didn't Chloe introduce LOIS Lane as her pen name this season for some articles or some research she summitted to the planet after papa Luthor busted her?

... yep, it is exactly how it is.

With all the tension building and toying around with him and her and his abilities, why have a show at all if she ends up not finding out?

The show isn't there to serve the purpose of Lana and Clark and her finding out, it isn't called The adventures of Lana and Clark now is it. There is much more to the show than that. The Toying and tention is there to keep them apart, if he got the girl and everything was good then people wouldn't be as interesting in watching the show, it would be boring if Clark got everything easy.

I think it is cool Pete knows, as he has gotten Clark out of some jams and covered for him, if it hadn't been for Pete he would have maybe been discovered by know.

It would be far better for Chloe to find out. I know she is a reporter and that would be the last person you would want but she is his best and closest friend and i don't think if she knew she would tell, she didn't want to spy on Clark for Lionel and she didn't really give him anything, so i think Clark could trust her, plus it would strengten their friendship. He would have his two best friends looking out for him.

Lana knowing would be boring...there would be less tention and secrets between her and Clark and they would be able to be together which i really don't want. It is much better seeing them be all angsty and pine for one other and for them to get involved with other people.

Nope, I think that the producers of the show have already ruled that theory out.

nope, Chloe isn't lois they're different people.

Then they'll have to do one hell of a casting.

I totally agree, Chloe HAS to be the next person to find out about Clark, even though I think it would force Clark and Lana further apart. Didn't Al Gough say that somebody else finds out Clarks secret at the end of this season???

If it is Chloe, I don't think that Clark will tell her, because even though they're really close, I don't think that he can trust her enough yet. She'll probably find out by accident.

Superman the movie is based on the silverage comics in which Lana doesn't know the truth.

Smallville is based on post crisis which is where Lana does find out the truth. The writers wouldn't toy with Lana being so close to finding out and have that be her big storyline if she doesn't end up finding out sometime on the show.

Episodes like Truth factors on why Chloe will never find out the truth about Clark... she just can't be trusted. While Chloe off saving her thoughts on Clark on disk, computers and out loud to Lionel.

Lana keeps everything she spec between her and Clark.

That's what sets Lana away from Lex, Chloe and Lionel. When it comes to the truth about Clark.

I hope she finds out sooner rather than later. I'm guessing she'll stumble upon the truth rather than having Clark tell her.
