| I'm a white guy and I have noticed that black people have stronger and just flat out better voice than most white people. I hated this new season but to be honest I never watched. This years "talent" was horrible. The only part I would watch would be the last 10 minutes waiting for 24 to come on. Clay's voice was good. But it didnt have the soulful sound that the judges and people like. |

| The winner on American idol really doesn't determine how successful a person's career will be. Clay was the runner up, but I see him on more talk shows, and generally hear more about him, I haven't seen Ruben do anything for a while. I think that the judges do focus on a more soulful style, but in the end it is up to the American public, so maybe we are the ones that are prejudice...or we just like that style. |
