Surface (NBC, Monday night)

Is anyone planning on watching the new NBC series Surface? I think it looks pretty interesting. I am a fan of Lake Bell (from "Boston Legal" and "Miss Match"), and I am glad she has a new series. The official site can be found here:

they are advertising it a lot on scifi.. wht exactly is it? seems like a movie

Here is a plot summary:
What do naval officers in the South Antarctic Sea, a family in San Diego, the oceanographic institute in Monterey, and fishermen in the Gulf of Mexico all have in common? They're all about to be the first to meet a new form of sea life -- it's beautiful, the kids may even want to play with it, and it likes to make the water warm. But what they don't know yet is that they are on the verge of a world disaster. "Surface" is a series full of continuously evolving twists that deliver across several long-term arcs.

I think it sounds interesting... It does seem more like a mini-series, though... I am not sure where it could go for a second season, assuming that it lasts that long... I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

I thought this pilot was awesome. Reminded me of X Files, and I jumped out my seat a couple of times [img]graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]

I didn't get to see it [img]graemlins/sniff.gif[/img] ... I couldn't get NBC to come in on my antenna... Oh well, I got to see "How I Met Your Mother" instead...

The Pilot Episode will be ReRunning Tonight September 23, 2005 on SciFi Channel at 5:00pm Central Time.

I really like it, reminds me alot of "The Abyss".

I saw it, it was good enough for me to watch the next episode too. I dont know how its going to do against all the other sci-fi in prime time. By sept 29 there will be 13? I think per week at 8,9,10pm. I saw Invasion and Threshold, Threshold was by far the best in my opinion.

I am downloading it right now... I wasn't home on the 23, so I didn't get to see the repeat on sci-fi either. When I get it downloaded, I will post what I thought about it.

Downloaded, from where, do you know how to get the season finaly of stargate SG1 that was on 2 fridays ago, its the only one I'v missed.
