I would say that Dark Knight grosses huge opening weekend because of the anticipation and Nolan saving the franchise, much like Batman Returns, it will open huge. I see it going $100-125 million tops though. Mostly because it is opening against Space Chimps and Hellboy II and even Hancock will take some of the box office from it. ![]() |

A character that overpowers his insanity with an infallible sense of right and wrong. Batman is used best when the writer understands that what makes Batman work isn't the fact that he's virtually unbeatable in a fight or that he's the world greatest detective, but the fact that he is unquestionably human. Yet, he has perfected his methods to the point where it isn't a mysterious power which makes him a superhero, but his all-to-human ability to use knowledge and ingenuity to BECOME a superhuman. I think Nolan is the only director who's really captured his natural element. ![]() |
