I don't watch very many scary movies and this may not be considered that scary, but it's the scariest movie I've seen (but I did not find it that scary): Disturbia!

The Exorcist (1973) - Not only a great horror movie, but a great movie period. I finally found the original cut on eBay, since I thought The Version You've Never Seen is actually an inferior film. Best horror film ever.
