Paramount Sets "Transformers 2" Release Date

Despite a recent comment from Transformers director Michael Bay that the studio hasn't been going full speed ahead on a sequel because of the possible strike next year, Paramount Pictures has now set a June 29, 2009 release date for Transformers 2. It is unclear who all will return for the sequel, as far as crew and cast members.

2009? That seems forever! I hope Shia Labeouf returns, seeing as he is the star! It wouldn't seem right if they changed the actor of the star. I hate it when sequels do that.

Yes, Shia Labeouf is returning, we all KNOW that, the second movie would be pointless without him or the girl xD

actually "the girl" can be easily replaced. she's one of those type of girl characters that get easily replaced, you know like in the batman movies. although i do want her to return. maybe she'll get to have arcee if she makes it into the sequel.

Well, she most likely won't be replaced I've seen interviews with both of them and the plan on doing a sequel. =]

I don't care if the girl gets replaced. I didn't like her that much. But I hope they don't replace Shia Labeouf! And I think this movie has really helped his career. So I wouldn't see why he wouldn't go back. This is a great movie. I hope he comes back to do the second one! It wouldn't seem right if they replaced the star.

Yeah, well the only reason why I watched this movie was because of Shia Labeouf, but it was an awesome movie! So I hope he returns!!!!
