can you believe it. finally after all these years the sequel to the lost boys is finally being made. and yes it stars the coreys again. although some problems have come up with corey haim.

MTV.com reported that original Lost Boys star Corey Haim is having immigration problems that are holding up his arrival on the Canadian set of the proposed sequel film. Haim's manager told the site that problems arose over the weekend in connection with the project, the follow-up to Joel Schumacher's 1987 vampire cult hit, which is shooting in Vancouver, Canada.

"There are major logistical obstacles that exist," the manager told the site, referring to immigration problems Haim may have in traveling in and out of the country. She added that Warner Brothers is currently working to rectify these issues. Haim's co-star, Corey Feldman, is already in Vancouver for the sequel.

Moviehole.net, meanwhile, reported the casting of members of the pack of vampire surfers in the sequel, which it called The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe. The cast includes Angus Sutherland, Kyle Cassie, Shaun Sipos and Merwin Mondesir, with Tad Hilgenbrink and Autumn Reeser playing the siblings who encounter them.

Joining Angus Sutherland’s pack of surfing bloodsuckers will be Kyle Cassie (“Devour”), Shaun Sipos (“The Grudge 2”) and Merwin Mondesir (“Godsend”). They’ll be the ones keen to turn young siblings in trouble, Tad Hilgenbrink and Autumn Reeser, into creatures of the night.

Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander are reprising their roles from the first film (the frog brothers) – and yes, despite reports that Corey Haim is having some working visa issues, he’s still very much a part of the film. The producers are going to work him into the film somehow… because, we’re told, he is an “integral” part of the film. So yes, he'll still be in it. Even if it means smuggling him in the boot of Nathan Fillion's car when he heads home for thanksgiving.

in case your wondering angus sutherland is the brother of keifer sutherland and son of donald sutherland. also it seems that this movie might be a direct to dvd movie.

Haim isn't going to be in it at all from last I heard. I also heard they are trying really hard to release it in theaters rather than have it be a Direct-to-DVD movie.

about 6 days ago corey feldman posted this on his blog.

"I feel that I need to address some of the statements that have been made in reference to Corey Haim’s and my friendship and his participation in Lost Boys 2. I have always considered Corey Haim a brother and dear friend and have always been there for him. Although I am deeply saddened that he has decided not to participate in Lost Boys 2, it was strictly his decision. For the record, I was not willing to go forward with any production or deal until I was assured that Corey Haim was onboard. I received confirmation from my representation that Haim had announced that he was officially attached to Lost Boys 2.

After starting production in Vancouver, I learned that Haim had chosen to pull out of the project. The reasons for his decisions are his and his alone. Although I am saddened by Haim’s departure, I am enjoying working on the film and am very excited about working with my Frog Brother Jamison Newlander and to carry the torch forward. I am very proud to be part of this highly anticipated sequel for Warner Brothers and feel confident that we are making a film that the fans will welcome as a complimentary addition to the franchise."

seems that the corey's aren't seeing eye to eye these days.

i have occasionally caught it on tv but lately i haven't seen it. although they were both on some other show back before the show premiered and they were saying that a lot of the show is dramatized and scripted to make the show look better other wise it would be boring.

you know theres a movie out there that has some kind of tie in with the lost boys dontcha? right now for the life of me i can't recall the name of it but it came out years and years ago and was featured in fangoria magazine. amy jo johnson of power rangers fame was one of the stars of the movie. it was about vampires, she was one of them, and this time around it was on another board walk located somewhere in the east coast instead of the west coast. possibly jersey. anyway somewhere in the movie the vampires make a reference to the other vampires in santa carla (or whatever the name of the town was in the lost boys). i never saw it come out in theaters nor did i ever see it come out on dvd. but i remember fangoria did a huge review on it and they liked it. i have a feeling the movie never saw the light of day in any format.

Didn't know that at all. But I looked it up using the info you provided, the name of the movie is called "Cold Hearts" & it is on DVD.

He was in, he was out, now Corey Haim is officially reporting for vampire slaying duty in Warner Bros.' The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe.

Overnight, we reported news of additional shooting (via Corey Feldman's blog) and now we know why: All of the scenes excised from the script involving the Sam Emerson character are being re-introduced to the film.

Director P.J. Pesce is heading back behind the camera to lens the previously penned sequences (pre-strike, naturally) with Corey Haim playing Emerson. Feldman, as mentioned, will be involved and shooting is expected to begin very soon.

We're told this will not affect Warner Premiere's DVD release of "Lost Boys 2" and a summer debut is still in the cards.

doesn't look that great but i'm still checking it out. anything with vampires is a thrill to me.

haim doesn't appear anywhere in the trailer though. but one website said he only appears once in the movie. i get the feeling that haim is going to show up at the very end of the movie and he's the main vampire, surprise, suprise.

by the way, does anyone know where i can find the version of "cry little sister" that is sung in the trailer. i have so many different versions of that song but i've never heard this one.

How nice, yeah let's just change the classic vampire look from the first one to something different, and let's cast the dipsh*t who played Stifler's pervert brother from the pathetic American Pie Band Camp spinoff. An while we are at it, let's believe viewers will get excitement from Feldman in the trailer by having him deliver a line that had already been spewed out by George Clooney and James Woods in other Vampire Movies.

YES YES....Feldman will just say it like it's a line that's NEVER been said before, oh I'm so excited I'm gonna piss myself.
