Default Scorcese's "The Departed"

I knew I could put faith in Scorsese for making this remake seem legit. The opening shot of Jack was just too cool for school. I'm looking forward to the film, now.

PS: Dicaprio is Martin's bastard son.

I wanna see it, but I'm not going in with the anticipation that most are. Critics and Scorsese fanboys tripped all over themselves for The Aviator and Gangs of New York, yet they both sucked.

I try to see movies with an open mind, no matter who is in it or who made it. Even the worst actor or director has a great movie in them. But, I still don't believe Leo as a tough guy, though. I just...can't.

Guess we'll see.

Just saw it. Brilliant.

I'd have to concur with Mr. Roeper in saying it was the best movie of the year so far. Great performances across the board. Specifically Nicholson and Wahlberg who had some great moments. Originally when I heard about Scorcese taking on this project I thought they miscast DiCaprio and Damon, in that I thought the roles should've been reversed. How wrong I was.!

The direction was practically flawless. Great dialogue. Smart.

Scorcese's best in a long time.

This movie had more headshots than a game of CounterStrike. Alec Baldwin offered some great comic relief however I thought Mark Wahlberg had the best line in the whole movie. "Treat the FBI like mushrooms. Feed them sh!t and keep them in the dark." LOL!
