Transformers screenwriters Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman revealed all the robots that will appear in the anticipated film today in a webcast on Yahoo! Movies. The Transformers that will be in the film include:

Autobots:
Optimus Prime
Bumblebee
Jazz
Ratchet
Ironhide

Decepticons:
Megatron
Starscream
Brawl
Bonecrusher
Barricade
Scorponok
Frenzy
Blackout

Orci and Kurtzman also announced that there will be a contest on the official website soon in which you send in a line that Optimus Prime should say in the movie. The studio will pick one line that will make it in the film.

Transformers, directed by Michael Bay, hits theaters on July 4, 2007.

yeah i read that over at aint it cool news and i was upset and getting depressed over the fact that this movie is going to suck. i'm sure it will do well in the first week but will drop slowly much like the new superman movie. they're still hope in me that they do something right. but of all things they could have featured more robots. 5 against 8? somehow i knew there would be no soundwave but i had been hoping for him and nothing. they could have at least altered him like some of the other robots.

Transformers. The movie? What's that, our childhoods are getting sold back to us? Or, in turn, realizing how much of our "childhood" was constructed, unimaginative, manipulative tripe. But we get to relive it in hi-def with CGI. Dolby.

I read somewhere Dane Cook is doing a voice over.

WHY, GOD, WHY!? What's next, Seinfield doing the voice of Megatron? ARGHH.

hey i like dane cook. he is a huge fan of such things as transformers and star wars so i see nothing wrong with him doing a voice, only nothing cheese please.

and as for Optimus \/

now that i see prime's face, he looks nothing like he should. i getting po'd by this movie even more.

With the Battle Mode Shield down he looks a little ape like when his Next Generation Character was in "Beast Wars" & "Beast Machines", maybe Bay looked at those 2 Series too. Plus the only time I ever saw any of this Battle Mode Shield stuff on any of the characters faces was on the Japanese Anime Versions of Transformers.

So let me ask you this? Is it going to be aan animated movie or is going to people playing the transformers like they did with Smeigal?
