Rob Zombie to make New "Halloween" Movie

they're calling it a re-imagining of the franchise. he better not mess with the classic john carpenter theme. that has got to stay. i didn't enjoy 1000 corpses but devil's rejects made up for it, i just love that movie and the free bird ending. but it is kinda true the original series should now be dead and buried. that story is over and maybe they can start it over with new ideas.
halloween 1 and 2 had michael chasing laurie from one house to the next and then thru a hospital. 3 had nothing to do with michael meyers. 4 started it again but this time he's going after laurie strode's daughter jamie. 5 continues from where 4 left off. then 6 came after only to have jamie get killed off at the start and then have michael chasing after his baby nephew (who in some early story drafts was actually his son when they impregnated jamie with michael's seed). that was also the last time we see loomis in any of the halloween movies unless you count his photos and the voice over in 7 which had the return of laurie who is now a school teacher and has changed her identity and has a son and apparantly has never had a daughter cuz they never talk about her. heard somewhere that they decided to pretend that halloweens 3 thru 6 just never happened. at the end of that it seemed michael is dead and buried. but nope he comes back in 8 where he finally kills laurie and then returns to haddonfield to finally rest only to find out his childhood home is being used for some crappy reality tv show. after some kills michael is put to rest, not really and we last see him in the morgue opening his eyes and about to kill again. so that's the end of the that old story.
what's the re -imagining going to be about. is michael still this crazed outraged psycho going after his family one by one and associated with some kind of pagan cult. or will they they come up with something new.

This will probably be bad, I don't think music video directing translates well to directing actual movies. These movies have a decent legacy too, 1-3 were pretty good.

I dunno...I loved his first two horror movies so I have high hopes for this one. Can't be any worse than the actual Halloween sequels.
