Bond... James Bond

The Bond franchise has been dealt another blow with Barabara Broccoli, daughter of former Bond producer Cubby, and MGM wrangling over the direction of the next film, "Bond 21" reports Monsters & Critics.

Like Pierce Brosnan, Broccoli wants the franchise to return to a plot and character driven formula, with more intelligent dialogue and a serious tone. The studio however apparently wants to maximize revenue on the cash cow and stick to the ever more spectacular stunts and effects.

This, together with the lack of director or indeed an actor to play 007 means that the next movie looks some time off. Observers now think it will be sometime late in 2006 and that is if they can settle differences.

Just give Pierce the role.. he's a kickass bond. Make it better. I know what he means lately it's more XXX instead of substanance. I want movies like that Space one again. Give me a reoccuring awesome bad guy like jaws!

or fired all the crappy writers. Seriously can't they hire someone that can do better? Just fire all those preschoolers and go with the first graders damnit

Why not let Quentin Tarantino do Casino Royale?!? or why can't they do it like Bourne films which have character driven stories and action? Or use all the budget for stunts in one hell of a finale and bring back the character detail? Damn the studios for ruining anything thats great!!

6. FYEO 1981 (80s version of FRWL , more or less)
7. FRWL 1963
8. TSWLM 1977 (Moores fav. WWIII plot re-make of YOLT)
9. OP 1983
10. LALD 1973 (voodoo Bond)
11. GF 1964
12. YOLT 1967
13. AVTAK 1985 (re-make of GF , microchips instead of gold)
14. DAF 1971 (1st Bond with humor)
15. MR 1979 (the most fantastic Bond prob)
16. GE 1995
17. TND 1997 (another WWIII plot)
18. DAD 2002 (threat by laser satellite inspired by DAF)
19. TWINE 1999 (Qs last movie , RIP Desmond)
20. TMWTGG 1974

Never say never again & the spoof Casino Royale were not EON produced & does not count.
