High Fidelity YOu would think it would be an oxymoron, but this is a guy's romantic comedy based on a great book by Nick Hornby with a script by John Cusack and friends. 3. Chasing Amy Writer-Director Kevin Smith's best work and Ben Affleck's best performance. Say what you will about Affleck, You try the scene where he finally tells the girl he loves her. 4. Before Sunrise/ Before Sunset I can't pick my favorite out of these ones. But I will say this, the last 30 minutes of 'Sunset' should be kept in a time capsule. 5. The American President Writer Aaron Sorkin gives director Rob Riener and a great cast gold and they know what to do with it. 6. You've Got Mail Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are screen favorites and a great on screen couple. Plus, can you imagine a movie where Steve Zahn, Greg Kinnear, Parker Posey, Jean Stapleton, Dave Chappelle, and Dabney Coleman ALL take supporting roles! 7. Bridget Jone's Diary Just funny. Renee Zellwegger deserved every award and praise that came her way, Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, and Jim Broadbent should have gotten some praise too. 8. 13 Going On 30 Jennifer Garner handles her first starring film role with the grace of an old pro. Another movie that is only helped by its first rate supporting cast. 9. Someone Like You Tacky presence and an ending you can see from the trailer doesn't change the fact that Hugh Jackman and Ashley Judd make a great on screen pair 10. Three To Tango You can see this ending from a one-line synopsis, but I love Matthew Perry and Neve Campbell and Oliver Platt is welcome in any movie as far as I am concerned. HONORABLE MENTION Garden State Just saw this a few days ago. It will need a few more watches, but I was impressed with Zach Braff's writing and acting and Natalie Portman will go down as an actress of our generation. FYI- She played the girl to the guy that came home in Beautiful Girls, too, and that was also another great performance. I'm sure I am forgetting something, but that was a fun list to put together. Good Question. |

After to be captured he finds a light bulb magical, that inside has a genius who will give 3 wishes. Winner of 2 Oscars. I like the Beauty and the Beast too. |
