Now that's a movie with scenes that should have been deleted to be more enjoyable to watch. Why the hell must there be that long sequence of Lauren and Sean walking all the way to school. Why see Sean picking his nose (eww), why show him while he is sitting on the can and wiping himself? It drags. It made me channel surf when it was on HBO. Why show the gay guy staring at himself in the mirror in his underwear doing all the weird ****? Why the whole narrtion sequence of thhat Long distance boyfriend (of Lauren's) talking in that superlong run-on sentences about his trip. It was all excessive. Gross, the moment thy show him naked getting up from the can. I hated that drug dealer saying "Mutha' F*cka' Mutha' ****a'" all the time. Why say "Mother F*cker" twice in a row each time? It's stupid. So the ending, the way it was going, did it mean They didn't have their fling things (what was shown at the beginning)?

I just watched this movie a couple of weeks ago and thought it was pretty funny. I didn't go into it expecting much because it did seem like it would be a movie that tries hard to be off beat. But I put that aside and just enjoyed it for what it was. My favorite scenes were the restaurant scene with "Dick", the scene with Fred Savage and the one where the alarm clock goes off in the James Van Der Beek characters dorm room. Nice comic timing in those scenes.

Well first off....the movie is a book, that was written in the late 80's (1987). I have read it twice. I think that Roger Avary did an OK job. The scene with them both walking to class....... Roger wanted to show the diffences between the two characters. How she wakes up early and gets to class early...and how he did not give a sh*t about it. I loved how he shot the movie, it had a nice pace to it..and how the characters really were in the book. But of course the movie did not follow play by play from the book. If it did it would have probably been rated NC-17 if it did. Sorry you did not like....The DVD explains alot on the bonus features...if you did not read the book ;)
