| The first film was wonderful and I think this will be too (judging from the first one and the crew.. not the trailers which rarely ever impress me). I can't wait to see where they take the characters next. The first film was about PP coming to terms with his powers and learning to use them responsibly. So I think this will be more about him coming to terms with his two seperate lives and learning to do just that.. seperate them! That was his flaw in the first film. Whilst he did the responsible thing by turning down MJ it was really his own carelessness which got her into trouble in the first place. Dennis, He is clearly in love with MJ but he's pushing her away because he blames himself for what happened at the end of the first film. Which is why he did the responsible thing by turning her down, preventing her from any more harm. It was either giving up SM so that he could be with MJ or being responsible and using his powers for good. |

Very dissapointing, notice i'm a casual fan not a geek that wasted all his lunch money in highschool so he could jerk to wonderwoman and the amazing 4? Seriously it's just so predictable like everything Hollywood makes and just popular culture in general. Take 1, CUT= *stupid conversation about love, *SIDE NOTE=Just how old is Dunst? She looks 50, I wouldn't hit on her even if my life depended on it but hey that's just me* *Music cues*-dramatic tension starts to build- at this instance WE SURE don't know what's gonna happen. But u can't really outshine the cliches in those italian mafia movies, reffer to "Untouchables" *classical music cue*, damn predictable. I venture to say Tobey won't be surprised, maybe he hasn't realized how much Seabiscuit sucked. I guess that explains it! Me? I'd rather waste my hard earned cash watching "21 Grams" than just another blockbuster movie that doesn't bring anything to the table besides "cool CGI effects". Don't get me wrong this people are quite dedicated to their "art", watch the DVD feautures, all the geeks pouring their hearts out, but still at the end it doesn't reach ME. It won't make me actually like the movie or anything. My rant kind of contradicts what my beliefs are in theory, I might not like or respect the contributions but I do respect the "geeks"(or at least most of them). Likely the hot girl at the back of the theater can reach me if u know what I mean Ofcourse this is just based on a 2 minute "preview", I could be wrong but I doubt it, after watching the first one. PS-I was simply giving my opinion and didn't mean to offend you fans, so I apologize for my bluntness as always [ December 22, 2003, 04:20 PM: Message edited by: Captain Beefheart ] |

I shall remain optimistic considering both Benicio and Sean Penn are in it, and in case you haven't been told they are among the CREAM OF THE CROP when it comes to actual acting, not selling "blockbusters" for Fox or Dreamworks or whatever label they're backed by, and just because a latin who's last name isn't Almodovar doesn't mean it's bad. Both of those movies will more than likely collect dust in your DVD collection when the next big thing is no longer "Spiderman". Even these will eventually realize how bad it is now like they're doing with "Daredevil". Sorry for those of you who wasted your allowance . I'm sure everyone knows the rest ;) *cue the outro music* [ December 19, 2003, 01:35 PM: Message edited by: Captain Beefheart ] |

| I'm not a huge fan of the first Spiderman movie and this trailer left alot to be desired. I was impressed with the car scene but the dialogue and music was simply horrible. Btw 21 grams is just another crap independent film made by a filmmaker who only wishes he could be doing big budget movies. Lousy indies are like student films with a bigger budget for christ sake. Not to generalize but they all suck. |
