Fav Scary Movies

I can´t understand that people think The exorcist is scary... :confused:

I concur. I mean in terms of film making, it's a great film and revolutionary for its time...but it's just NOT scary. Under any circumstance LOL.

I guess you guys dont think possesion is a real accurance. I was raised religous turned satanist, then turned christianity into what I wanted and now im my type of religous. So for what I have seen/done it just scared the crap out of me cause I took it as something that was realistic which by the way The Exorcist was based around a story of a boy in Maryland (i think) that said he was posessed by the devil, not a demon, but THE devil. So in a way it is based on a true story they just changed somethings around to make it into a movie. If you never saw the 25th anniversary edition of The Exorcist it tells about how 9 people died during the making of the film.....I dont mean just normal everyday deaths I mean some were just kinda bizarre. Actually the while making the movie, the man who played the director to Reagan's mom's film actually died so they had to write it into the story. Another story I have heard is that when The Exorcist first came out women began to take there Husbands to there priest or preachers because they thought they were posessed by the devil as well some acutally had divorces over it....there lots of other stories I have heard and read about but what I'm getting at is, is that no other horror/scary movie has ever had the impact on people like The Exorcist has.

Back to the point The Exorcist is THE scary movie of all time even if you dont believe it is, because critics, shows, books, mag., and movie fans have givin it that title and it will remain there for sometime. Something has to come around that is as or more revolutionary than The Exorcist. With everything becoming so fake in Hollywood now (cgi) its hard to make something look as good as something that is hand done and crafted like makeup, visual effects etc. I mean now a day they would just put cgi in where Reagon and the priest's breath is showing cause it is so cold in the room which back then the built a big ass freezer around the room and just bombed the temp. now that true movie making!

But the first time I watched it my friend had downloaded it off the internet, and we watched it on the computer. The fact that it was grainy and bad quality made it much more scary. I didn't even wanna walk home after that, and I was scared of my computer, because it has a big screen. When I watched it later on video it wasn't that scary.

Dracula was good the new movie that had Gary Oldman as Dracula and Winona Rider as Mina it was epic like the passion of Christ because you can see blood and gore and it shows the story better than the classic 50s Dracula movie that had Bela Lagosi as Dracula.The Exsorsist was good i agree but Dracula conpaired to wrong turn.watch Dracula with the lights shut off and you'll see.

i sure that jesus movie yesterday and i though it was ok the spear in the ribs took the movie to a 8/10

Yea, pathetic gore films suck...which is why I watch the Exorcist....to see people puking their asses off....

Im with VampAcid on this one. How can this many people claim an 'o.k.' remake like "The Ring" is better than classics like "The Exorist" or "Texas Chainsaw" or "The Shining"... the list goes on!
