Rush Hour 3 moving along (finally)

After years of delicate negotiations, New Line has finally gotten "Rush Hour 3" in the works with Chris Tucker, Jackie Chan, director Brett Ratner and screenwriter Jeff Nathanson all signed to return for the sequel reports Variety.

Tucker will earn $20 million against 20% of gross, and his deal comes with a second-picture commitment for the same salary on a film to be determined later. Tucker has given up script approval as long as the final draft matches what Nathanson pitched. Chan will get around $15 million against 15% of gross, but will also own the film's distribution rights in China and Hong Kong.

New Line has the option to greenlight the pic by May, based on script approval and a budget the studio hopes won't exceed $120 million, which would allow shooting next summer in the US and Paris for a Summer 2007 release.

Cool. I was hopeing that their would another Rush Hour. I loved the first 2. Jackie Chan rules.

too bad tucker is such a diva. altho if this movie doesn't do good at the boxoffice, no one is gonna want to work with tucker again.

Yeah it most likely will do well.

I think it will do really well, i loved the first 2. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker make a good team and they come out with some funny phrases, its hilarious. The fight scenes are just wicked especially in the 2nd one in the massage parlour lol.
I'v always wonderd wen they were gonna bring out a 3rd and now they have im dead chuffed [img]smile.gif[/img] .
