There is talk of it. But David Hasslehoff said he would only do the Movie if the Car "K.I.T.T." talked. He said in a Interview somewhere that they-(The Studio) was not going to let the car talk at all. Hasslehoff said he would not do the Film if that happened. Now they are trying to work something out so it can be made.

Why would they not make the car talk? That's insane.

Exactly what Hasslehoff said in the Interview. I found the Interview:

"They Weren't Going to Make K.I.T.T. Talk?"
Source: KGET TV 17/Comingsoon.net
June 3, 2005

KGET TV 17 caught up with David Hasselhoff who said that the big-screen version of Knight Rider has endured a two year delay because producers wanted to mute the show's trademark talking car, K.I.T.T.

Hasselhoff, who starred in the original '80s TV series and is taking the lead in the upcoming remake, has insisted the vehicle have a voice of its own or he wouldn't make the film.

"It's stupid. There's no film without a talking car. So we waited for two years and we won. The car will talk," said Hasselhoff.

In the series, K.I.T.T. was voiced by actor William Daniels.
