| I say this because I look back on Armageddon and realize I will never ever want to watch it again. I can't get past how OVER THE TOP the dramatic emotional moments are. That moment of Sharp askign to shake Grace's hand, and she's got that stupid "chin up" proud posture. The whole "Hanky" moment of her teary words to Harry. "OHHHH EVERYTHING GOOD IN ME I HAVE FORM YOU,! The excessive editing. The kids running out holding rocket ship toys whe you see Kennedy's face painted on wall. It's liek "Jesus tap dancing Christ filmmakers we get the point! already." I'm irritated by that movie so much no it makes me wanna bash my own head in with thick lead pipe. Like Trey Parker say's, "Bruckheimer really does do comedies, he jsut doens't know it, because he's a turd." And I agree. But who's the bigger turd here bringing us these lame over the top with tears and hanky moments that's all so in your face? The the Productions of JErry Bruckheimer, or the Director Michael Bay? |

| I tend to not really enjoy any of the Bruckheimer produced movies, except for Pirates of the Caribbean. But that's a movie I can probably only stand to wach once. As for Michael Bay, I've only seen Armageddon, Pearl Harbour and a small portion of Bad Boys...and I didn't like any of them. And he's doing the live action Transformers movie, so I'm really worried. But then again, Spielberg has something to do with it as well (executive producing) so there's still hope. Tom DeSanto is producing too. I guess Michael Bay gets my vote as bigger dipsh*t then since I didn't like anything he did. |
