Max Payne is a man with nothing to lose in the violent, cold urban night. A fugitive undercover cop framed for murder, and now hunted by cops and the mob. Max is a man with his back against the wall, fighting a battle he cannot hope to win. The movie will focus on the origin of the vigilante character. The game was released for the PC in July 2001 and later that fall on Xbox and PlayStation 2. The video game was an instant hit for Finnish game developer Remedy Entertainment and game publisher Gather of Developers. The sequel, "Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne," shipped for PC, Xbox and PS2 in fall 2003 from Rockstar Games. |

| The Punisher was too happy. His family was killed at some beach resort and he really didn't seem that broken up about it. Max Payne is a disturbed fellow, with his dream sequences about hallway mazes, his infant child's toy blocks spelling out DEAD, seeing himself kill his own wife, etc. And he's quite the pill-popper. I've actually been wanting to see this game made into a movie, along with a Grand Theft Auto movie. Edit to add: They ought to take style cues from Sin City when they make the movie. It set the right mood. [ June 27, 2005, 04:05 PM: Message edited by: BETA ] |
