When the piece concluded the audience sat in mute shock for a minute or so before breaking into subdued applause. |

Virgil Donati from a Steve Vai concert live in Astruia. You pretty much get everything from Virgil: Dave Weckl short latin solo Dennis Chambers Billy Cobham And if you're into "orchestral solo" pieces: The last solo is Neil Peart from Rush performing "O Baterista"(an arrangement of the proffesor drum solo he's being doing live for years) live in Brasil |

JoJo Mayer at Modern Drummer Festival JoJo is probably someone you'll dig if you like drum & bass, techno music. He's a classicaly trained musician from the school of Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa aka the godfathers of drumming. But he takes the technique(classical grip) and expands it just beyond the concept of a trap set drummer. Check out his left hand sticking, flawless. Absolutely astonishing. He's got it all, great drum sound, beautiful sounding cymbals, amazing technique, and visually a joy to watch. JoJo explaining the Moeller technique plus sum stick twirls |
