I've been a bit on again, off again with a festival thing (actually, Norway's biggest), the Quart festival, for a while now. I wasn't sure I'd have the money to pay for the whole week or anything, and if I couldn't go the whole week, I didn't want to go at all. Right now it looks as if I'm going as long as I don't have to sleep in a tent. It can rain a lot down there. I'm pretty happy about the bands this year. Actually, I'm overwhelmed. I want to go there! Take a look! |

Gah, that was a weird explanation. Tool, Placebo, Opeth, Wolfmother and Torch will all be playing on Tuesday at Bendiksbukta. Quote:

Muse and We Are Scientists are what I'm looking forward to. Oh, and The Raconteurs. And Death Cab! Haha, I really need to be there the whole week (5 days). | ||

| Bloomin' crazy ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I really wanted to go there last year (Roskilde). Muse were headlining one day, and my brother was going. I ended up letting him take my digital camera to take pictures of them, he was like "sure, I'll even sneak back stage for you!" When he comes back the only thing I get are some concert pictures that are so blurry you can't make out anything. He didn't get back stage at all, he even left half-way through the concert. Not even a t-shirt! Anyway, I think Roskilde is like the "mother" of every Scandinavian (at least) festival. Can't get any better, can't get any wilder. But then again, more violence, drugs, people and even more mud comes with it. My brother had to throw away our tent when he came back, it was literally covered in sh*t (human excrements). |

| Bunny Gooz ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Oh yeah, I wanted to go too last year. Foo Fighters were there! But there was no way in hell mom would have let me go. There might have been a chance this year, but like I said, I was just too late. H.I.M., Kanye West and Franz Ferdinand are there this year though. Would have loved to see all of them, plus more. But hey, you get to see Muse this year right? At the Norwegian festival? Yes, it is. The people there are insane, wild is definitely the right word! Some years back 4 people got killed there, in the front of the orange stage. Really tragic. It went too far that year, so now the safety is better. But if you don't want to party, and you just wanna be there for the concerts, you can just get day(of course, you can still be there for the night concerts) tickets and go home when the music stops. F.ex. go home, or stay at a campside near the festival. That's probably what I would have done. Or, I'm not sure if there is one at Roskilde, stay in the "quiet area", on the actual festival area. People who go to these festivals(the ones for young people(or young souls lol.) not the family festivals we also have here in DK), they usually buy a cheap ass tent, and then leaves it when they're done. No point in keeping it afterwards 'cause it's almost always beat up, and like you said, covered in crap and mud. |

| Bloomin' crazy ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | None of the headliners really interested me this year at Roskilde. It's a bit far to go all the way down there when there's not really anything I _have_ to see. But it's the ultimate festival experience. That and Glastonbury. I'm not going to see Muse this year. I was too late to buy tickets to Quart! There was some crap with my boss so I didn't get paid in time. I keep hitting myself 'cause I'm going to miss them once again. And We Are Scientists also. My friend keeps rubbing in it 'cause she's going. She doesn't even like them she just likes to make me feel like crap ![]() |
