| Brandon Flowers on the upcoming Killers album Quote:
Singer Brandon Flowers says it's a masterpiece.
The Killers new album is 'one of the best albums in the past 20 years', according to frontman Brandon Flowers.
The Las Vegas pop-rock outfit have been recording in their hometown with Flood since the start of the year, and in an interview with NME, Flowers sidesteps the understatement to let people know just how happy he is.
"We just have to make the best album that we can. And we're doing it. This album is one of the best albums in the past 20 years," he says this week.
"There's nothing that touches this album. And that sounds like I'm being c0cky, but I'm just so excited."
With Alan Moulder on board to mix the record, a September date has been set. Track titles include Bones, Where The White Boys Dance, For Reasons Unknown and My Lists.
"I fell in love with The Smiths and the Pet Shop Boys when I was 12 years old, and I never thought that could happen again," adds Flowers, talking about the new album's influences. "And that was kind of sad, but then I had another one of those 12-year-old experiences when I was 23, but this time with Bruce Springsteen."
"And it was just - it was elation... He's a gift, and I didn't know. There was something in his music that touched what I was going through, the process of falling back in love with my America."
| Wow, one of the best albums in 20 years? He is one c0cky son of a b*tch. |
