Fans warned over hoax gigs Fake Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys concerts advertised.
Somerset House have issued a general warning to fans over advertisements that have begun appearing for shows scheduled in for the glittering London venue's summer season.
The problem: there aren't any.
On-line adverts for concerts by Radiohead, Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys and KT Tunstall are all the work of con artists, a venue spokesperson has this week confirmed, with all of the aforementioned artists confirmed as not playing the historic venue.
"The official announcement of the live programme at Somerset House this summer will be made in early May 2006," reads the official release from Somerset House. "We have contacted Westminster Trading Standards to investigate this hoax."
A spokesperson for Radiohead has added, "Fans should not respond to online advertisements for this concert. Radiohead's performance schedule for 2006 can be found on radiohead.com." |
