Default Any musicians in the house?

If so, what do you play? Let's start a Fanhost band!

I am a guitarist, clarinettist and pianist. I would say I am also a harmonicaist, but I kind of stopped learning how to play. The only thing I can really play on it is the melody to that Piano Man song.

Why didn't you keep up with the sax? It's a great instrument.

What kind of guitar do you play?

Aw, Dennis is so hardcore that he uses "fortepiano." Good on you, baby!

What kind of piano do you have, Dennis?

I didn't have time anymore and moved on to the guitar. Should start playing it again I was what I believe the best in the class. Now I play the eletric guitar. I did play the clarinet in the 8th grade I still have that practice book for it also.

LOL, sure does Will.
I still have one guitar but I haven't played in about 7 or 8 years. All I remember now are power chords.

You guys should pick it up again, it'll be good for you. Did you know musicians have a lower chance of having mental problems when they get older? I saw it on The Discovery Channel.

I think everyone should be able to play the piano, even just a little bit. Keyboarding skills are an essential part of life.

I find it very weird when someone doesn't play an instrument. I don't know...I guess I just grew up around people who play something. My dad can play the guitar, my older sister plays the piano, my younger sister plays everything I play, my mom can pluck away at the piano, I have so many friends who play the piano or guitar or drums, I was surrounded by the band geeks during high school and now I'm in the music program at university. You are nothing if you don't play an instrument! NOTHING!

I don't play a brass instrument, but I've wanted to play the trumpet. I just want to be able to play the Star Wars intro...

I noticed most people will pick up the guitar or piano when choosing an instrument, and when someone plays a wind instrument it's usually because they had to for school.

I'd like to learn the saxophone and violin as well. I was thinking of renting an alto sax this summer, but we'll see. Also thinking about taking classical guitar lessons, but again, we'll see. I certainly have the time, anyway.

How was it? I hear violin is the hardest instrument to learn.

really? i didn't find it that hard. anyway i didn't really have many lessons before i quit

actually i think the trumpet's pretty hard to learn. its hard to get the buzzing right at first and you need a lot of stamina
