Might as well tell you that if you're a John Mayer fan you shouldn't have missed his performance from Austin City Limits in which he played with the remaining members of Double Trouble(Steve Ray Vaughn's former bandmates-on the cover of his last album "Heavier Things", the guitar he's posing is a signature model from SRV= *geek alert*. That album was quite a big dissapointment btw IMO, unless you're a fan of monotonus coffee house folk/pop, which i'm not, with the exception of Joni Mitchell OFCOURSE). He also did a cool duet with Buddy Guy but I don't think u're even aware of blues history, and don't worry there are better things to care about, like Hilary Duff's makeup. Luckily, Satan's **** has many heads, so all you little demon pigglets can nuzzle up and suckle all at once Anyways, here's a little video stream from his performance= Here ![]() [ January 31, 2004, 07:26 AM: Message edited by: Captain Beefheart ] |

PS-Thought I'd mention Mayer is covered on the latest Guitar One issue(Feb.). Sum article about "strats". Beck, David Gilmour, Clapton and the plethora of guys who've played them are also interviewed. There's a nice tutorial lesson with John McLaughlin. And ohh yeah, Steve Ray Vaughn is on the COVER. ![]() Article Here [ February 01, 2004, 07:29 AM: Message edited by: Captain Beefheart ] | |
