Quite the odd/ironic combination, let's just hope our little Dave can keep it real and not resort to the "goofy/16 yr old brat persona" and that I can stand enuff of the self ass kissing and glorification from worthless uneducated rappers and industry accolides to not go into a coma and miss this performance :rolleyes:

I'm not surprised Grohl was *open* to make this happen and even tho most of the Foo fans are pretty uneducated when it comes to Jazz, this will give them sum insight into the path to follow Gotta be pretty ruthlessly honest about it! Chick for me is the perfect example of a person that aspires to whatever he invisions. He conjures up the greatest bands in both Electric/Acoustic realms AND from my experience, he's a real treat to be around. He is definately one of the most together people I have met. You should quee sum Chick Corea on Emule for a start, I know u still haven't figured how to use the prog.(what a surprise! j/k, it's easier to use than what I thought, I just read through the forums and figured out the "settings". There sum nice Chick stuff in there like the Special Concert DVD I reviewed AW as sum stuff from the Elektric band "Inside Out"/"Beneath the Mask")

Jazz music can be seen as cerebral, I suppose, but I think that happens because most people don't know anything but the basics. It's like primary colors, when you get into shade and nuance you lose people. To me it's always been more a matter of emotion and I think most people could feel more complex, more potent music emotionally if they allowed themselves. I suppose it could take more brain cells to experience this, and I can see how the average person would call something cerebral or intellectual if they had to pay attention to it.

We're up against some primal truths of human existence, and cry as we might to get the mainstream to grow up it's an exercise in futility. I find myself trying to avoid this dead end of a topic, as much as it enrages me, instead opting to create and pass along what I know to whoever wants it and let the rest of the world do as it will.

I forgot a funny anecdote[wonder if Riz is tunning in?]. There's some fat white guy at my Uni with a g-unit ring on his cell phone, he spent like 400 dollars on chrome mirrors for his truck and someone stole them the next day, it was awesome. :D
