| Mu nótahu ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | she hasn't done anything bad *marvels at the retardness in the thought* I found it funny that even tho she's been sucessfull, turn to the credits Music/Words arranged-written by [insert 50 people here] Have u heard her live? CD's don't count seeing there's many ways to fix a mediocre vocal performance, but when you're live there's no way to correct that, you either perform or you don't. The sad fact of the matter is that she sounds decent backed by a room full of "studio magic", but sounds much different live. Even worse, people are shelling out their hard earned cash to hear her stumble through a song and sing out of key. Bah what am I rambling about, you're probably one of them who thought "Knocking on Heaven's Door" was an un-released tune ;) [ November 28, 2003, 09:44 AM: Message edited by: Captain Beefheart ] |

I don't see the big deal with bands that take the easy way out. I liked Interpol last year up until their album came out. It's just so bland and safe. The songs get really old fast. Especially when you've heard better versions from Echo & The Bunnymen and Joy Divison. Not to mention, they were ORIGINAL at the time. Don't get me wrong, they're a fun little band with a lead singer that does a really bad Ian Curtis impression. If you wanna get into post-punk, though, Interpol is a decent spring board along with bands like GY!BE, Mogwai, Sigur Ros, and even the bristol bands like Massive Attack/Portishead. Nothing more.
