They're an 80's band...I kind of wnat to call them Punk but I kind of don't LOL. Nirvana was really inspired by them [img]smile.gif[/img]

The Pixies are excellent indeed...

Surfer Rosa is my favorite album. That could be because of the production, though. Those songs didn't sound so abrasive in the early stages so yeah, probably was. Damn Steve Albini and his live sound action. He could make Men Without Hats sound threatening. True story. Anyways, listen to The Pixies. If you're talking about on a mainstream level, they didn't god damn care about that. Frank Black has said many times that even if they stuck around or came about around the time underground music was exploited AGAIN, people still wouldn'tve thought the Pixies were anything special. They aren't accessible like most pop bands. Everyone in the band knew and accepted this.
