| The reason why Pherrl is hot is because is "sexy" and he knows who to work with. Take a look at the time He worked with Spears and the time he worked with Snoop dogg. Those Albums or songs that Pherrl helped them with became number one, because people buy crap. |

If I see the Neptunes have produced an album, even if I don't like the artist, I'll know that at least there are some crazy beats on it. Slave 4 U; Drop it Like it's Hot; Hot in Here; Hella Good; Milkshake; Rock Your Body - these guys know how to put some disco beats on a song. |

| Yeah, true, but lately its been pretty funky, and not in the good way. I think they've been going into territory that they shouldn't be. Its nice to get experimental and challenge yourself, but when you don't make a hit for a while, you're really just living off of past successes. "Drop It..." was one of the only recent hits they had, and most people I know aren't loving that track as much as their past work. Maybe they're just tapped out of ideas for now. That's what happens when you're producers-for-hire. But its not just The Neptunes. Timbaland is going through a rut as well. |
