Listening to rock radio and noticing a lot of oldies

It's like nothing new is coming out so now hte stations have to resort to playing Alice and chains and stuff in the 90s. Wtf, did the hip hop industry push the rock industry totally out?

hmm i know that here in NY theyve always played a lot of early 90s stuff, not just during retro hours or anything like that.

grunge was the last time popular rock music was good, so its not like they're gonna stop playing that. its good and its rock and there are still bands ripping them off so it doesnt matter i guess.

though they also play stuff from the 80s, like GnR and old metallica.

that stuff all still sells and is just good music. most of the new bands wont last so they stop playing them once they're out of the top 40, and they're never heard from again.

Same here they play oldie's, then they play an awful lot of korn songs, then move to mudvayne's new song happy, then move to some greenday sh*t, then we goto NIN, after that some metal shop.

It's weird but it's true > Queen,Depeche Mode...and just new ones like Maroon 5,F-Ferdinand,Servants...oh,and pop,pop,pop...or retro

I just don't understand why during the last half year i've heard just 2 Offspring and 1 Linkin Park,Papa Roach,Red Hot Chili Peppers,Limp Bizkit song and where r others?

4 TrineX - u may not like SOAD,Limp Bizkit,Linkin Park... but songs like BOOM,AERIALS,Chop Suey!,INNERVISION,EAT U ALIVE,BREAK STUFF,BREAKING THE HABIT,POINTS OF AUTHORITY,DID MY TIME,OUTSIDE... are also weak?

you just listed bands that made good music in the 90s [img]tongue.gif[/img] Linkin park is stretching it because half of their new songs are just repeats of the old ones just with a different chorus somewhere else.. or they make remixes of their songs.

Where's the new bands? Where is the rock bands of 2000? Hard to find I believe

I think they didn't have enough time to get smthing...

By the way LP is almost band of 2000

And Maroon 5,Nickelback,Hoobastank and Kasabian[1st album - 2004] are also there

their new cds but it's not like it's impressive. Plus I wouldn't really call any of them rock.. maybe nickleback but that would be soft rock heh

look Duran Duran is rock - but i'm convienced its pop
