One issue in music I just can't stand...

Mainly, the constant hating and hater speech about...Celine Dion. I mean what is it with everybody on the Net and the hating they do of this woman's work in music!??? I've been a fan of Celine's work since 1994 (I own 8 of her 11 English speaking albums). I've always loved listening to her. Her music taught me a lot, a lot of lessons about how to be a good man to a woman in the game of love and romance and dating and yadda yadda for example.

She has won multiple Platinum Awards and 4 Diamond Awards (where an artist sells 10 million albums worldwide on one album release). She got her first two with her Grammy Award winning 4th album Falling Into You and the other Two with Let's Talk About Love (the follow-up album with the theme to Titanic on it among other great songs). She is the voice of an entire generation and all I hear from everybody on the Net is how much people hate her and how untalented she is and that (for one example) opera singers like Charlotte Church could easily outsing her anyday of the rest of Celine's life (of course with Charlotte's chain smoking habit those days are dwindling).

I know I'm in rant mode right now but straight up everybody on the Net: ENOUGH!!! The hating of Celine has gone to stop. I just wish those who hate on her and make constant jokes about her and all would just take a step back, look at themselves in the mirror and maybe listen to one of her songs for once. You'd see great brilliance in what she does just like me and I'm a 25-year old guy! And I'm not gay for the record. There's one man's opinion on Celine and the hating that I wish would end. It's because she sang "My Heart Will Go On" and that was so overplayed and made her annoying. And she married a really old guy. Oh, and she's French Canadian. Nobody likes them.

I like her voice, and some of her older work. I have a couple of albums somewhere in the house. She's a really incredible singer.

See, I'd have a different opinion. I think there's not enough Celine-bashing on the internet. Now I realise that's just an opinion, but I intend to do everything I can for the home side.

Celine Dion has a strong singing voice, true enough, but it's the crap she decides to inflict on it. There's just something about her. And Mariah Carey, who, again, has a strong singing voice. I feel like scraping my mind from the ceiling when they start up.

If you don't hate Celine Dion at the moment, I would recommend that you give it time. Or perhaps just check out the book she has published with a bunch of baby photos electronically manipulated to make it look like they're morphing into plants.

Shes just so cheesily earnest and sentimental. It'd be excruciating if it wasnt so easily mocked and dismissed.
