Carrie's second CD Carnival Ride hit stores on the 23rd and it's flying off the shelves. The official word won't be out until tomorrow but it looks like it's sold around 530 thousand copies since the 23rd!

I love this album. My favourite song is All American Girl. Can't get enough of it. It's 2 bad the album is not out here in Holland. Otherwise I would have bought it.

I bought the CD at Walmart the day it came out for about $9. I love it. Carrie sings with so much emotion. My favorite songs are Flat on the Floor, So Small, I Told You So, You Won't Find This, I Know You Won't, Twisted, and Wheel of the World. There's only one song I don't really like, but I couldn't be happier with her followup.

I found some info about the sales!

For the first time in the history of the Billboard 200 album chart, three country artists topped the tally, led by Carrie Underwood's sophomore set, Carnival Ride, which sold 527,101 copies in its first week of release; the best debut by a female country artist since Shania Twain's Greatest Hits sold 530,000 copies in its first week on the charts three years ago. The disc knocked last week's No. 1 album, Bruce Springsteen's Magic from the top of the chart to the No. 12 position.

Carrie Underwood's Carnival Ride sold 527,101 units in its first week of sales, making it the best-selling debut week of any female artist in 2007. It's also the highest debut week ever for a country artist's second album. Digital sales of 44,928 mark the largest country debut in digital album chart history.

Carrie Underwood has become the first "American Idol" winner to post a debut sales week of more than half a million units and the first to have her sophomore effort's opening surpass her debut.

Her November 2005 debut, "Some Hearts," sold 315,000 copies and reached No. 2. That album rose 21 slots to No. 60 on sales of 13,000; within in the next two weeks, its cume should top 6 million.
