Miller claims that although family is on the agenda, he doesn’t get much time to date. "We are on the set maybe 14 hours a day, five days a week” Miller told the Metro “It doesn't leave a whole lot of time for socialising - I don't get a lot of chance to date," "But it's definitely something, a wife and kids, that I'm looking forward to experiencing at some point in the very near future." Doesn’t the thought just make you tingle? |

The actor, who can be seen as Michael Scofield in the second series of Prison Break, which is about to be repeated on UKTV Gold, adds that he's had to learn to cope with fame. "It's the most significant thing that's ever happened to me. I run into fans of the show everywhere I go, and it's always, fortunately, a positive experience," he says. "Our fan base is very loyal, appreciative and respectful. It's like having a very large extended family with all kinds of cousins that you've never met." But Wentworth admits he hasn't quite gotten used to the attention from the ladies yet. "It's a little awkward because my sister helps me with the fanmail, so she has to go through all of these letters, some of which are very detailed!" he says. Female fans will be pleased to hear Wentworth is single, although the lucky lady he ends up with may have to wait until Prison Break finishes. "We are on the set maybe 14 hours a day, five days a week, which doesn't leave a whole lot of time for socialising - I don't get a lot of chance to date," he says. "But it's definitely something, a wife and kids, that I'm looking forward to experiencing at some point in the very near future." With his chiselled features, sparkling green eyes and tall athletic frame, the Prison Break actor fits into the Cannes set extremely well. But he insists it’s taken a lot of hard graft – and a bit of luck – to get where he is today. “It’s not like we’re working in the coal mines, but it does require a certain perseverance, a certain emotional, psychological stamina,” the 35-year-old says. “I think before Prison Break I must’ve gone on 500 auditions and there were only 10 or 12 credits on my resume, so I’ve heard ’no’ a lot. There were many times I doubted myself, worried that I’d wake up one day at 45 and still be waiting tables and waiting for that big break,” he reflects. “You have to have the soul of an artist and the pulse of a bureaucrat. It’s wonderful to be creative and inspired and talented, but if you don’t have the discipline to come home at the end of the day and shove your headshot and resumes into envelopes so that you can get your picture and your work out there, it’s never going to happen for you.” Wentworth, who can be seen as Michael Scofield in the second series of Prison Break, which is being repeated on UKTV Gold from Monday July 9, didn’t take the traditional drama school route. Born in Oxfordshire, England, his family moved to the US when he was small. After completing a degree at Princeton University, he decided to try is luck in LA, but worked behind the scenes to earn his bread money. Luckily, after appearing in shows like Buffy The Vampire Slayer and ER, Wentworth started hearing ’yes’ a lot more. When Prison Break came along it made him an internationally recognised superstar – much to the delight of his mum and dad. “I’m grateful I achieved the degree of success I have as an actor because for a long time there my parents were wondering why they’d spent all this money on a fancy English Lit degree that I wasn’t putting to any kind of good use! “They were horrified,” he continues. “I think a lot of their fear came from the fact that unless you’re actually in the business, it’s very difficult to tell what it is we do for a living. All my father knew was that I didn’t have a place to go every morning, I was sleeping in and I didn’t have a steady pay cheque, so they were concerned on my behalf. “But now, of course, they’re pleased. I mean, the neighbour’s son might be a doctor, but, you know, I could potentially play a doctor on TV,” he laughs, flashing perfect white teeth. And despite being a happily married father of four, Dominic Purcell, who plays Lincoln, reveals that he doesn't offer any relationship advice to his single co-star Wentworth Miller, who plays Michael on the show. "We don't really talk about that stuff," he said to OK! magazine. "Went has his eye on some woman, but he didn't tell me who. He's a traditionalist. He really wants to settle down, get married, have kids, all that kind of stuff." As the resident hunk of the Five series, British-born Wentworth has always been very discreet and reserved when it comes to his personal life, preferring to stay out of the limelight and rarely revealing details about girlfriends. Awwwww.. I Love Wenty ![]() |
