Newcomers in the can for Fox's "Prison"

Robert Wisdom and Jodi Lyn O'Keefe have joined the cast of Fox drama "Prison Break" as regulars.

They will play new characters on the drama, which finds Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and the gang locked up in a Panama prison.

Wisdom will play Luchero, a Panamanian drug kingpin who is incarcerated and controls all the other inmates. O'Keefe will play Betty Crocker, an operative for the Company, a shadow government organization.

Wisdom's recent credits include HBO's "The Wire" and the feature "Freedom Writers."

O'Keefe co-starred in two comedy pilots in the past two years, "The 12th Man" for Fox last year and "The Call" for ABC this year. She also co-starred on ABC's midseason drama "The Evidence" last season.

Gracia Lands Prison Break Role

Danay Garcia has landed a regular role on the Fox's "Prison Break" next season when the drama will be set in a Panama prison.

The Hollywood Reporter says she will play Sofia, a beautiful Latin woman living in Panama whose boyfriend Whistler (Chris Vance) is incarcerated with Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller).

Garcia and Vance are two of four major new additions to the cast of "Prison Break" next season along with Robert Wisdom, who wil play Luchero, an incarcerated Panamanian drug kingpin, and Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, who woll play Betty Crocker, an operative for the Company, a shadowy government conspiracy organization.

Spoke to Prison Break brothers Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. One PB spy tells me that there's going to be a crisis between the two siblings next season that extends beyond Michael's imprisonment. What could cause such a rift? Maybe Lincoln and Sara will fall for each other while Michael's behind bars? "I don't know what's going on with Sara," Purcell shrugged.

Hmm...that's not a confirmation, but it's not really a denial either.

I'd ask her myself but I don't see Sarah Wayne Callies at the party tonight. Maybe she's filming back in Texas. Miller said he was catching a plane soon to head back there.

'Prison Break' Star Callies Misses Production Start

Prison Break actress Sarah Wayne Callies will be covered by a look-alike double for the first three episodes of the show's third season, but don't worry – Callies is still definitely signed to appear, and her character may even be making a surprising choice that may devastate the relationship between Linc and Michael (Wentworth Miller). Beware of Spoilers!

In case you did not know, Sarah Wayne Callies' maternity leave overlapped the filming of the first three episodes of the third season of Prison Break, so a body double was brought in to stand in for her. The actress will be shot mostly in shadows and given as little screen time as possible. Callies will return to the show full time with the fourth episode.

Meanwhile, TVSquad is suggesting that a crisis will find the brothers at odds, and suggests Callies character may be at the center of it. The plot possibility is almost too sweet to resist, Michael locked up yet again, Lincoln and Sarah falling for one another amidst the dramatics of trying to rescue Michael. The stuff of legends, for sure.

Another possible ‘crisis' may very well be the death of one of the brothers. It has been suggested by various spoiler sites that one of the brothers may not survive through the third season. Since it has already been said that Michael will spend ‘most' of the season behind bars, the only logical choice would be for Dominic Purcell's character to be the one to end up in the dirt.

No one has gone on the record from the production crew to actually confirm the death rumor, but why would they? Then again, in an age where Prison Break has gone to great lengths to set itself apart from other serialized cliffhangers, it seems unlikely Prison Break would go after the newly branded cliché of ‘killing a major character.'
