Nicholas Jerry Jonas, more commonly known as Nick Jonas, is guitarist and vocalist for teen pop-rock band, The Jonas Brothers. Nick (15), Joe (18), and Kevin (20), are becoming more popular everyday with girls between the ages of 9 and 19. The boys are originally from Wyckoff, New Jersey, but have recently moved to Los Angeles to pursue their career. They were all raised as sweet, mannerly young gentlemen and even sometimes surprise talk show hosts with their innocence. The band of brothers work hard everyday to keep up their stats in the music world, and in August their hit single "S.O.S" went to #1 on the iTunes chart, holding that place for a good 2-3 weeks. But one brother works extra hard, beyond his incredible older siblings. Nicholas was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 13, and currently uses an OmniPod, which saves him from having to take the dreadful shots everyday. The young rockstar has become an idol to many teens with the disease, and even without. "Nick Jonas is my hero. He always stays strong and never gives up, and I am in love with him for that very reason," says Ann, an 11 year old from New York City. Of course, she isn't the only one idolizing this adorable heart-throb. In just a year or so, the Jonas Brothers have become but a legend, in the music industry. In August of '06 the boys released their debut album, "It's About Time", from Columbia Records. Around the same time, the next year, the group released their self-titled album with Hollywood Records. The album has now gone platinum, and they already have a new album coming this summer. Not to mention, a Disney Channel Original Movie, "Camp Rock", which is said to be airing on Disney Channel in the summer of 2008. The movie is about a young girl who aspires to become a singer, and is heard singing at work by a teenage rock musician (Joseph) and soon they are singing together at their camp, Camp Rock. These multi-talented brothers also have a TV show in the works. "J.O.N.A.S!", which stands for Junior Operatives Networking As Spies, is about teen spies undercover as a band. The show will also be on Disney Channel sometime this year. With so much in store, the boys will be getting even bigger and better. They are currently finishing up the Best of Both Worlds Tour as the opening act for Miley Cyrus, a.k.a. Hannah Montana. Soon after, they will be on their way with ANOTHER tour, the Look Me In The Eyes tour, (titled after their song "When You Look Me In The Eyes"), which is said to begin on January 31st. The boys are also working on a song with hip-hop artist, Timbaland, which should be interesting seeing as they come from completely different types of music. Still, the brothers will be able to make it work, as they have with so much else. You would think with all this going on, they wouldn't have any time left for family life. WRONG. The boys have tons of family fun, just being with eachother. They all have an extremely close relationship, not to mention the 4th Jonas brother, Frankie. Seven-year-old Frankie Jonas is often referred to as the "Bonus Jonas". Other nicknames of his include "Frank the Tank" and "The Man", both of which were started by his older siblings. Parents, Denise and Kevin Sr., both couldn't be prouder of their sons' accomplishment this year. Good job guys, keep up the great work!
